"Souffle Continu Records presents the first official vinyl reissue of Essais, the sole album by Semool, originally released in 1971. This LP is the third in Souffle Continus series of ten reissues from the catalog of the cult French label Futura Records, fully licensed by Futura founder G_ɬ©rard Terron_ɬ®. Semool was a trio of Philippe Martineau, Olivier Cauquil, and R_ɬ©my D_ɬ©d_ɬ© Dr_ɬ©ano. They recorded Essais between 1969 and 1971; under the underground, its a foggy lo-fi psychedelic alien with echoes of Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath drowned in oceans of heavy delay and acid guitars.
