"Olaf Rupp was born in 1963. At the age of twelve he began to play guitar. He was his own teacher and behind classical guitar repertoire pieces and Rock music especially free improvisation was always most important. He played with Paul Lovens, Rudi Mahall, Sainkho Namtchylak, Aki Takase, Toshimaru Nakamura, Wolfgang Fuchs, Butch Morris, Johannes Bauer, Jean Marc Montera and others. In the 90s he was mainly interested in improvised pop music in duos with drummer Hanno Leichtmann (EMAK BAKIA) and Stephan Mathieu (STOL).
