The album is clearly informed by the flower power counterculture, is full-on mysticism -- with Buddha chants all over the place -- and trippy guitar playing make room for an otherworldly experience. The album opens with a rendition of "Holy Thursday" lifted from David Axelrod's masterpiece Song of Innocence (1968) and sets the mood for a series of ancestral musical performance.
