Early 90s recordings influenced by EINSTURZENDE NEUBAUTEN and ORBITAL! Restocked signed copies.Minimal Technology started in the early 90s in Santiago, Chile when three students ventured into designing sound pieces. After several months of studio recording, ("The original Minimal Technology self-titled cassette had 5 audio tracks produced with a sampler archaic, an electric bass, a disposable drum machine, voice and different intervened tapes.") a Japanese curator and music publisher Kino Mitsouko took interest in the group. The band took a trip to Tokyo which was later viewed as an artistic experience for the group; MT made a special container-object, similar to mail art, in order to show its work. The band had only two appearances on stage, one in the room Augustine Siré School of Arts University of Chile and one in the Faculty of Architecture in the same University. They were also interviewed on a live program at the disappeared Radio Umbral, and invited to publish an article of their work in the fanzine Marginal Music. MT music has been classified as experimental, electro-acoustic, techno and neo-brutalist. "Power On", the best known track of the band, characterized them as a pioneer in sound and composition of electronic music in Chile." - Hueso.
