Edition of 300 reissue of this French heavy metal rarity (with the originally intended cover art). Recorded in a single day in 1985, and heavily inspired by Detroit hard rock as well as Motorhead and the like...
"HOTCHKISS is a French band born in May, 1984 in Aurillac (between Toulouse and Clermont-Ferrand), a rather isolated area where hard rock is struggling to make itself heard. At one time, however, a dozen groups crossed iron in the rooms of Aurillac, but only for about a year or thereabouts. It is this period that saw the formation of HOTCHKISS. Three musicians who "struggled" in various local groups decide to do everything possible to succeed: Serge Nangeroni on guitar and vocals, Jerome Hubert Joly on bass, and Thierry on drums. The first objective of the group is obviously the development of a solid repertoire but soon they focus on recording a single. The three musicians think releasing a single is an effective way to attract the attention of a hard rock audience-¢‚Ǩ¬¶ The three protagonists do not hide their interest in all the mythical groups of Detroit (late 60s, early 70s) who lead to revolt through violence and perversion..." - from the original press release.
