FINE, MILO/DAVU SERU/ELLIOT FINE - Second Meeting (Percussion; Improvised)

Milo Fine: marimba (electronics), orchestra chimes, bowed cymbals; Davu Seru: percussion; Elliot Fine: drum set, assorted percussion. Recorded in concert at Homewood Studios (Minneapolis) July 11, 2005, this CD documents the trios second encounter. (The entirety of their first concert can be heard on Elfin 1/2: PERCUSSION MUSIC; IMPROVISED). Milos lifework in improvised music began in 1969. Davu started working with free improvisation in 1998, and, in 2000, began his ongoing collaborations with Milo. In addition to being a 44 year veteran of the Minnesota Orchestra, Elliot, Milos father, has a long career as a free lance drummer, teacher, and drum book author.
