FINCH, PETER - Dances Interdites
Dances Interdites reissues a number of Peter Finch sound text and processed voice works from the late 1970s and 1980s. The Dances Interdites set of ambient cassette recordings were originally issued by Balsam Flex in 1982 as a follow up to 1980s Big Band Dance Music. They use the limitions of the domestic technology available at the time as a compositional discipline. The Italian Job pieces, made with Bob Cobbing and John Whiting in 1985, move on to use full professional studio techniques of voice manipulation. Blodeuwedd recorded while standing on the roadside near Cardiffs last remaining arc furnace on Seawall Road, takes the process further. - Slowscan.\r\nFeaturing Peter Finch: voice, percussion, jews harp. Bob Cobbing: voice, percussion and John Whiting: electronics. Edition of 200.
