Fehlfarben were formed in 1979 from previous members of Mittagspause, D.A.F., S.Y.P.H., Der Plan, and other musicians from the Düsseldorf punk scene. In 1980, they released Monarchie And Alltag (Monarchy And Everyday Life), an album recognized as one of the most important German-language rock records.
