DILS, THE - I Hate the Rich

The Dils formed in Carlsbad, California, in late 1976, although they soon relocated to San Francisco (and later Los Angeles) to become one of the preeminent bands in early West Coast punk. Their debut 45 appeared on What Records?, the same label that released The Germs Forming single. While I Hate The Rich combines catchy melodies with a perfectly punk politique, Youre Not Blank (So Baby Were Through) features brothers Chip and Tony Kinmans harmonizing vocals and the groups tight, breakneck rhythms.
