CONSIGNMENT is the brainchild of Seattles MATT NYCE (ex-METH TEETH) and this four-song debut EP showcases some of the most pleasant songs weve heard in a while. Recorded last year in their laundry room when the band was just Matt and his then girlfriend/now wife DENA on drums this is the most mellow sounding Sweet Rot release yet, but one were very proud of. The focus here is on the songwriting and these songs are perfect front-porch-lounging-while-drinking-beer music, or as Seattles The Stranger put it-Like a sedative elixir for your soul, Consignment make lethargic, lo-fi garage-pop songs less upbeat than they are beat-up".
