Artist: GIRLS AT DAWN Title: Back To You Format: 7" Label: Tic Tac Totally Country: USA Price: $7.00 |
"New single from the GIRLS AT DAWN features two new tunes, "Back To You" and "WCK" on the flip. "Back to You" is a skittish angle on their usual "fragile girl group" sounds. It still has the carefree, roaming verse and delivers those girl group harmonies, but eventually heads into a fractured, upbeat chorus with a guitar line that weirdly, lightly stabs home the repeated "gotta get back to you". The flip, "WCK" is a totally carefree example of the harmonic melodies but played shambolic as hell and soaked in buzzsaw-bass from top to bottom. TGAD separates themselves from so many other "oh lets do a girl band" bands in that they are at once playing the roles of "super delicate" and "carefree & dark" (even a bit twisted in moments). Previous 7-inches on Captured Tracks and HoZac." -Tic Tac Totally |
