Artist: AME SON
Title: Catalyse
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $29.00
"The origins of Ame Son go back to the mid-sixties, when Bernard Lavialle (guitar), Bernard Stisi (guitar, vocals), Patrick Fontaine (bass) and Marc Blanc (drums) formed Les Primitivs circa 1965. They took the Parisian stages with a Yardbirds/Pretty Things inspired wild R&B set, and they kept active until Stisi left in 1967. At that point they changed their name to Expression, and with a more experimental approach they took their newly find free rock sound a la Soft Machine to night clubs and also to exhibitions of modern art. It was around that time that Marc Blanc met Australian ex-patriate Daevid Allen, who had been the guitarist with the Soft Machine until he hadnt been allowed to return to the UK after some south of France gigs of the band. Allen settled in Paris where he would form Gong, but before that he was to be joined by Blanc and Fontaine in his new project Banana Moon. After the Banana Moon period Lavialle, Fontaine, Blanc and flutist Francois Garrel regrouped under the name of Ame Son and were featured with great acclaim on some of the most important festivals of the era. The BYG label signed them and in 1970 they recorded their now legendary LP. The album was conceived pretty quickly and it has a spontaneous, energetic psychedelic/free rock feel with a pretty psychedelic prog sound that drinks from the same springs as bands such as Gong, the Soft Machine, the Pink Floyd or Guru Guru. Ame Son were one of the earliest French rock bands to go beyond the conventional rock and roll of the time, and Catalyse is considered to be one of the first truly progressive/underground efforts at thrity-three tours in France. The Wah Wah reissue features the original German gatefold cover, remastered sound, a repro of a very cool original Ame Son period poster plus photos and liner notes. Strictly limited to only 500 copies." -Wah Wah

Artist: AMON DUUL
Title: Paradieswarts
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $27.00
"Recorded in 1971, Amon Düüls only album for Ohr was a visionary slice of acid-folk which has gained cult status as years passed by. Ritualistic folk-rock, pastoral hippie songs, stoned jams, Eastern flavors, mystical passages and heavy hypnotic riffing which are in fact very different from the early Amon Düül epic freaked-out improvisations (Psychedelic Underground) or Amon Düül II complex and psyched-up progressive works (Phallus Dei). These were in fact archival recordings done by a different incarnation of Amon Duul, one that combined members of both factions into a floating line up welcoming many a guest, and which were released by R.U. Kaiser without the musicians knowledge or authorization, most likely in order to catch up with Amon Düül II rising popularity. All in all, a mythical recording featuring such underground classics as Love Is Peace, Snow Your Thurst Sun Open Your Mouth and Paramechanische Welt. Included also on our edition is their sought after Ohr single: Paramechanical World / Eternal Flow. Another legendary title from the Ohr catalogue rescued by Wah Wah for your listening pleasure. Strictly limited to 500 copies. Sleeve reproducing original artwork from the Ohr original issue. Featuring bonus tracks Paramechanical World and Eternal Flow (originally released as 7" single)." - Wah Wah

Title: Musik Für Alle
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $29.00
"After the success of the previous Wah Wah reissue of Anima Sounds Stürmischer Himmel we are proud to offer a first ever vinyl reissue of their Musik Für Alle album, one of the rarest private pressings in the Krautrock scene. In 1971 Paul and Limpe Fuchs loaded their instruments on an old tractor and spent six months touring through Germany at 20 km/h. When the summer came, they stopped in front of Willy Neubauers recording studio in Düsseldorf and there they taped a music memory of the tour. Two long pieces, 17 minute long improvisations titled N Da Da Uum Da and Traktor Go Go Go, were to be privately released as an LP on their own Altepfarhof label. By some, these two tracks can surely be considered as one of the best psychedelic experiences ever created, due to the intensity of the recording. On their performance the group produced many wonderful and inspired sounds, many of them coming from Paul Fuchs self-built instruments, and counted with the post-production collaboration of Neubauers Echolette Ringmodulater. The Wah Wah reissue has been properly licensed from Limpe Fuchs herself, reproduces the original cover art and features an insert with photos." -Wah Wah

Title: Stürmischer Himmel
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $27.00
"Often described as one of the oddities in the Ohr catalogue, Stürmischer Himmel supposed the vinyl debut of Anima Sound, the radical free-music duo of sculptor Paul Fuchs and his wife Limpe Fuchs. Recorded at a thousand year cottage on a windy hill and opening with ambience recording of wind and sheeps, the album is an organic collection of improvised atonal pieces ranging from the atmospheric to the wild with much use of screaming, horns, percussions, ambience recordings, wordless vocals and all kinds of home-made sound devices (Fuchshorn, Fuchszither, Fuchsbass... ). Pure German counter-culture sounds from the early 70s. Limited to 500 copies. Sleeve reproducing all the original artwork from the Ohr press. Quality vinyl press inside a 350 gr. quality sleeve. Comes with an insert with info and photos!" -- Wah Wah

Artist: ANNEXUS QUAM
Title: Osmose
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Japan
Price: $33.00
2nd pressing on purple vinyl. "Annexus Quam had actually a quite long career, having their roots in the outfit Ambition Of Music, formed back in 1967 Kamp-Lintfort (near Dorf). By 1970, and paying tribute to their early name, they had incorporated a whole array of influences (most important one, the inclusion of jazz instrumentation) and brewed them in what was becoming a very personal progressive fusion of styles, best witnessed in their their debut album Osmose. At that time, the band had grown into a septet formed by Uwe Bick (drums, vocals, percussion), JJonuschies (bass, vocals, percussion), Werner Hostermann (clarinet, organ, vocals, percussion), Peter Werner (guitar, vocals, percussion), Hans K᭰er (trombone, Spanish guitar, vocals, percussion), Ove Volquartz (sax) and Harald Klemm (flute, vocals, percussion). Far from a typical jazz sound, they were able to integrate rock and jazz instrumentation into a unique style, which borrowed elements from the aforementioned genres but blended those into an ultimate cosmic fusion (which can recall at times the Third Ear Band, Xhol Caravan or even Ash Ra Tempel yet remaining totally their own). Actually, Annexus Quam were able to sound meditative, doomy, stoned, aggressive, exotic and lyrical in the same track without loosing any musical coherence or perspective. With their personal style that even today defies categorization (except for that big umbrella we call kraut rock),Annexus Quam had all the inventiveness and excitement of the 1969/1970 German bands. Osmose is a most unique album by an equally unique band, housed in one of the most luxurious, elaborated and tripped-out gimmix covers ever made, now reproduced in all its multi-folding glory. Gimmix folding-pyramidal cover!" - Wah Wah.

Title: Beginning Of The End
Format: LP & 7
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $25.00
"Often hailed as one the hard psych masterpieces to come out of Spain in the early 70s, "The Beginning Of The End" was the vinyl debut of ATILA, a trio formed in 1973 by Eduardo Niebla -guitar- Joan Punyet -drums- y Francisco Ortega -keyboards-. Originally released in 1975 by the obscure New Promotions label in a alledged tiny pressing of 100 copies the album has reached "monster" status between die-hard collectors worldwide, sometimes reaching the $ 1,500 tag. An incredible progressive tour de force, the album combined the typical classical leanings, fierce guitar leads and dark keys all over in the best European tradition of the era (think Italian prog). Another rarity which finally reaches a wider audience thanks to Wah Wah in a well presented reissue that is completed by 2 BONUS tracks PLUS a 7" including two more extra tracks all taken from contemporany sessions (actually same month as the album recordings) which show the band delve into Pink Floyd-territory circa More/Ummagumma (think Careful With That Axe, Eugene and youll be pretty close)." - Wah Wah.

Title: Collage
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $24.00
“Reissued on vinyl for the first time, heres the second LP by Baba Yaga, After his adventure with My Solid Ground, Ingo Werner formed Baba Yaga. Named after the Slavic folklore character his new adventure seemed to be more a solo project. On this second LP Ingo Werner chose to join forces with santur, sitar, tabla player Nemat Darman, an Iranian musician who also contributed congas, cymbal, gong, timpani, drums and vibraphone, and record the whole album as a duo. Werner would play EMS, Davoli and Solina-string synthesizer, clavinet, electric piano and grand piano, besides producing the whole sessions at the Dieter Dierks studio. On this second delivery, Baba Yaga offer an intriguing mixture of krautrock electronic experimentation with improvised ethnic sounds and textures, compared by some to works by Popol Vuh, Third Ear Band,Brainticket, the early Tangerine Dream, Deuter or even Between.
Reissued on vinyl for the first time ever, the Wah Wah edition is limited to 500 copies only - get yours before it flies!” - Wah Wah.

Title: Featuring Ingo Werner
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $24.00
“After his adventure with My Solid Ground, Ingo Werner formed Baba Yaga. Named after the Slavic folklore character his new adventure seemed to be more a solo project (he plays electric piano, piano, mellotron, synthesizer, organ, clavinet, bassoon and gong, besides being the composer of the music), but it is made with the cooperation of other musicians - most notably Bernd Weidmann who, in addition to singing and playing bass also contibuted with some lyrics. Other musicians in the recording are Joska Fiedermutz on drums, plus Winfried Schreiber and Jürgen Dyrauf on guitars. Songs on this debut album, which was originally issued in 1974 as a very limited edition on the very small Cycle label have been compared to some UK prog-rock works like those of Cressida, Aardvark, Egg,Arzachel, Fantasy or Greenslade. As the LP plays on, echoes of the Canterbury scene can be heard through some jazzy influences, and some heavy-psych and cosmic avant-garde athmospheres created by Werners intelligent use of synthesizers, are thrown in.

Title: Libra
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $29.00
"When the bunch of filmmakers known as The Pattern Group (Roland Moreau, Georges Perdriaud and Jean Talansier) did Libra, their second movie, in 1973 they thought it would be a good idea to use bits from Pink Floyds Ummagumma and Atom Heart Mother to create its soundtrack. The movie, a 90-minute film with no dialogue, depicts the story of four youngsters living in communion with nature, an idyllic life that is drastically changed when a U.S. satellite crashes in the area and attracts the attention of journalists and TV crews that come to destroy the peace of the place. Obviously, the Pink Floyd bits had been used without permission, and The Pattern Group saw they needed an original soundtrack if they wanted the film released without legal trouble. They approached Jean-Michel Jarre, who declined the invitation to create the new soundtrack, but suggested instead Philippe Besombes. Besombes was a sound explorer who walked similar paths as other avant gardist young musicians from his generation such as Richard Pinhas (Heldon), Paul Putti (Pôle), Jean Louis Rizet or Jean-Michel Jarre himself (way before he became the famed wizard of commercial synth music as we know him today). Besombes was requested to produce a soundtrack in the style of those Pink Floyd tracks used. However he came up with that and more. Always aiming to find new ways of musical expression, he produced music that fitted perfectly in what the filmmakers needed but which was totally of his own. Surrounded by a cast of friends, he locked himself in the basement of his girlfriends father (who even ended up providing the financial funds for the project to reach an end!) and taped the amazing sounds that form the Libra soundtrack, a landmark in French electronic tripping music. The soundtrack was recorded in 1974, and it was released as a vinyl LP on the Tapioca label in 1975. It has since become a highly sought-after LP among collectors of electronic music worldwide, and gets its first vinyl reissue on Wah Wah in a deluxe edition that features a lavish 12" sized, six-page booklet with plenty of photographs from the era and information on the making of Libra in texts written by Philippe Besombes himself and Raul G. Pratginestós." -Wah Wah

Title: And The Waters Opened
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $28.00
"Formed in 1970 in Munich, Between was an international band devoted to explore the spaces existing between (hence the name) disparate musical currents: from ancient music to avant garde from Western classical to Eastern musics, from medieval to pop music in a fresh approach that perfectly fitted the experimentation dominating the early 70s German music scene. Whereas many of their contemporaries favoured the introduction of electronic elements, Between relied mostly on purely acoustic sounds, albeit so distorted they would pass as electronic. Roberto Detrees self-made motocello was a constant source of other-wordly sonorities which permeated many of the bands compositions. Add to this Peter-Michael Hamels Indian-influenced systemic organ minimalism and Cotch Blacks hypnotical percussion and youll get Betweens sound in a nut-shell. A mystical vision not removed from that of their contemporaries Popol Vuh that predated much of the new-age, meditation and world-music fusions that would blossom in the 80s. Originally released by Vertigo in 1973 and housed in a colourful psychedelic sleeve by Guntram Holdgrün, this is often regarded as Betweens most exotic and beautiful opus. A huge, majestic droning masterpiece with oriental nuances that might recall Popol Vuh, Fripp & Eno or Taj Mahal Travellers. Classic album from the early German 70s scene that deserves to be rediscovered by a wider audience. With Roberto C. Detrée (guitar, motocello, adapted harp), Robert Eliscu (oboe, oboe damore), Peter Michael Hamel (keyboards, vocals), Cotch Black (percussion) plus Duru Omson (bamboo flute, percussion, voice) and Fabian Arkus (electronics). Limited to 500 copies. Cover reproduces the original artwork by Guntram Holdgrün from the 1973 Vertigo issue. Insert with liner notes." -Wah Wah

"..housed inside a 144-page book reproducing the original engravings by Juan Arkotxa, 64 of which are full color. Strictly limited edition: 500. Sold out in Spain, last copies. First reissue of this fabulous masterpiece of European and acid folk, originally released in 1977. Including for the first time a full reproduction of astonishing Book of Am engravings as an accompanying book, and the previously unreleased "Part II" disc." - FE. "We are proud to announce the reissue of the legendary The Book Of Am, a unique combination of recordings and artwork which stands up as an enduring testament of the fertile hippie scene which flourished in the Baleric islands during the seventies. Known to record collectors and psych/folk/prog music aficionados alike, this multicultural band formed in the island of Mallorca in the mid-70s and recorded a beautiful (and outrageously scarce) album which has gained cult status as years passed by. The Book Of Am was originally devised as a beautifully illustrated book focused on various world folklore and traditions, coupled with 4 LPs which would represent a musical. This (never completed) 4LP set would correspond to the four phases of day (Dawn, Morning, Afternoon, Night). Only the first of these records (Morning) would eventually see the light of day in a tiny private pressing which changes hands nowadays for obscene amounts of money. So now, alongside the reissue of the original Book Of Am album were very proud to present the first-ever release of the previously unissued Part II of the The Book Of Am, which leader Juan Arkotxa remastered recently from the original master tapes. Both albums are housed inside a 144-page book reproducing the original engravings by Juan Arkotxa, 64 of which are full color. Never released back in the day due to its high production costs, now, the central part of the The Book Of Am, can finally see the light of day. A round-the-world trip through the folklore, legends, lore and cosmogonies of some of the worlds cultures, from ancient Egypt to Celtic traditions." - Wah Wah.

"Juan Arkotxa, Leslie McKenzie, and Carmeta Mansilla have joined forces with Will Z (of Cosmic Trip Machine fame) to finish the great project that was The Book of Am. As you may know, a few years ago Wah Wah released the book including the only LP that was originally released back in the seventies (part I) plus adding an extra LP (part II) which had been recorded in the same era while the book was being created, but the book itself hadnt been previously released. Now, thanks to the help of Will Z, original Can Am des Puig residents Leslie and Juan, plus original contributor Carmeta have joined forces again to finish what was left unfinished. The main body of parts III and IV is formed by those songs written back in 1970s Ibiza and Mallorca that never reached the recording stage. Will Z has also written part of the music, and has helped with all arrangements having in mind the sound of the original sessions and respecting the musical feel and spirit of the original Book Of Am recordings. It sounds amazing and will not disappoint fans of parts I and II. Lovers of the previous Book of Am know what to expect and will not be disappointed! Format: LP

Price: $24.00
“Juan Arkotxa, Leslie MacKenzie and Carmeta Mansilla were the creators of The Book Of Am. The Book Of Intxitxu was another of their works, they began working on its songs and illustrations just after they finished the four parts of The Book Of Am in the late 1970s. It contained, again, a collection of illustrations plus three hours of music. The book was first published in 1982 by Desclee de la Brouwer (Bilbao) in a bilingual Basque-Spanish edition. In 1983 IZ issued a cassette containing a selection of the songs sung in Basque by Juan. A part of it was later performed with mime artists at the short-lived Stonehenge Festival in 1983.
Conceptually it is again influenced by ancient myths and cults, you can find references to Sumerian hero Gilgamesh, the Meditarranean Moon Goddess cult, the hallucinogenic mushroom taker and healing woman from Oaxaca Maria Sabina, the works of Robert Graves, etc. Musically, it follows the ethereal folk path set by their previous works, with an acid atmosphere and a progressive appeal that offers some heavier psychedelic passages due to a higher use of electric guitar pyrotechnics.
Daevid Allen and Gilli Smyth guested as musicians, so heres one of his last recordings, as are also the last by Carmeta Mansilla, since sadly she also past away recently. Will Z, oG, Majnun and Sammyhelped Juan and Leslie rescue the old material and shape it into this gorgeous 2LP set with a 24 page booklet containing all the illustrations made for the Book.
Please note it is a limited edition of only 500 copies, do not miss it and complete your Book Of Am saga collection!” - Wah Wah.

Title: Piece of Mind
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $29.00
"As K.J. Gustin wrote, Piece Of Mind is a work of exotic psychedelic free-jazz-meets-rock, East-meets-West, progressive and smoky moment in late Twentieth Century music history. Add to that a spice of jazzy brassed R&B and a touch of minor-key popsike sensitivity and you get an accurate description of the sounds contained in Roger Bunns astonishing 1969 LP, originally released in the UK on the Major Minor budget label, but issued in some European countries (Ohr label in Germany or Phillips in Holland) in a beautiful gatefold cover that is the one we choose for our reissue. When the LP was released in 1969, Roger Bunn was already a veteran British musician that had gained an astonishing CV since he began playing in the professional circuit. He spent the sixties moving through several outfits playing skiffle, jazz, beat, R&B, soul... whatever. As The Beatles did, he spent some of his forming time in Germany, playing with British formations there. A versatile musician on several instruments, he became a master of double bass. After the Piece Of Mind days he joined Pete Browns Piblotko!, played with members of Soft Machine, worked with Ornette Coleman, saw one of his songs recorded (though never officially released) by a major rock star like David Bowie and even became a founding member of Roxy Music for a short period in 1970-1971, among so many other things. An album that should be an essential addition to any collection that misses it, reissued in full colour gatefold sleeve, quality vinyl pressing and an insert with liner notes, with sound remastered by Denis Blackham at Skye Mastering in a strictly limited edition of ONLY 500 COPIES, made in loving memory of this great musician who passed away in 2005, that we expect to sell like hot bread. Price: $29.00
"Roberto Cacciapaglia had already gathered attention for his excellent work at the keyboards on Franco Battiatos legendary second LP Pollution before joining forces with Krautrock mastermind Rolf Ulrich Kaiser for the release of his 1975 masterpiece Sonanze. Cacciapaglia self-produced the album in Milan for the Cosmic Couriers label, and it certainly brings echoes of some cosmiche kraut experiments like those of Popol Vuh, Klaus Schulze or Tangerine Dream, yet retaining a unique personality of its own. Actually its the feel given by Cacciapaglias mixture of classical sense compositions (he was trained in Milans Giuseppe Verdi conservatory) with adventurous experimentalism (he worked for the RAIs phonology research team and also at the CNR in Pisa) what makes the sound of Sonanze so unique. According to the Scented Gardens of the Mind book, good musical references might be Terry Riley, Franco Battiato (Sulle corde di Aries), Klaus Schulze (Cyborg) and William Scheller (Lux Aeterna). Title: Clearlight Symphony
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $29.00
"Through Tim Blake, Gongs synth player at the time (one of Bransons first artists), Cyrille Verdeaux signs for Virgin in 1974. That same year Clearlight Symphony is recorded (clearlight stands for a type of LSD). For its recording sessions Cyrille uses two different line-ups, each in charge of each of the two parts of the work. On one side theres ex Babylone members Christian Boule, Lard Frees Gilbert Artman and bassman Martin Isaacs. They record along with Verdeaux on Virgins Manor studio. The other side will be canned at Kaleidophon studios, ran by White Noises David Vorhaus, where Cyrille is joined by Gong members Tim Blake, Steve Hillage and Didier Malherbe. Verdeauxs original idea was to feature the Manor studio recordings on side A, but thinking heads at Virgin thought better to flip sides to make more profit of Gongs commercial success. A curious decision, since you normally dont promote an LP with the same strategy you would use for a single! Clearlight Symphony was released in 1975 with small echo in press and public, although it has nowadays reached a cult status among followers of the symphonic -- cosmic -- progressive genres. In what refers to its musical content, Clearlight Symphony is a completely opposed concept to that of the other project in which Verdeaux was involved at the time: the collective album Delired Chameleon Family (also reissued recently on Wah Wah Records), a brilliant psychedelic dive into the French underground of the seventies. Clearlight Symphony, instead, is a much more author-controled work, where all the musicians adapt themselves to Verdeauxs circular, systematic composition. The alleged and collected improvisations, dissonances and atonalities (superb Boule), the rhythmic tension of Artmans enigmatic, Heldonian drumming, Blakes environmental VCS3 modulations, Hillages content cosmicism, Verdeauxs crescendos and counterpoints -- plus echoes of Debussy, Terry Riley, Soft Machine, Magma, and why not, the aforementioned Tubular Bells. In short, a work of honesty, an album of its time." -Wah Wah.

Artist: CODE III
Title: Planet of Man
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $24.00
“Brothers Manfred and Wolfgang Schunke were pioneers of the Kunstkopf Stereophonie (artificial head, dummy head) binaural recording system. This recording technique was created in the Technical University of Berlin in 1974 with the aim to reproduce real stereo sound as the human ears perceive it. Human ears listen to the sounds in a concrete way that is affected not only by the sound frequencies themselves but also by the position of the listener in respect to the different sound sources. The Schunke brothers wanted to experiment this recording technique, and as early as 1974 they set their own kunstkopf recording studio, Delta Acustic, with the help of Klaus Schulze.
Code III was the vehicle for Manfred Schunke to explore the possibilities of kunstkopf recording. To do so, he joined forces with two Berlin-resident americans: Ed and Mary Key. Lyrically, Planet Of Man verses on the big theme of the creation of Earth, as The Crack In The Cosmic Egg book details it: "The music on PLANET OF MAN is a sonic depiction of the history of the Earth, from the void of empty space, via the formation of the planets, the evolution of life, through to mans domination of the planet, and ultimately back to the void. The opening and closing excursions, involving atmospheric electronics, injections of a dreamy folk song, and disembodied resonant female voice, hint a little at Braintickets CELESTIAL OCEAN, although the mood is much spookier. Confusingly "Dawn Of An Era" (the lyrics are sung in the previous track) involves what sounds like demented Neanderthals involved in some weird drum ritual. "Countdown" adds up to a blend of atmospheric electronics with abstract use of voice collage and effects (and Indian music), onto a remarkably clever accelerating space-rock burn-out featuring Klaus Schulze at the drum stool! Returning to weird space music at the end, it all adds up to a remarkable and unique album."
Planet Of Man was one of the six releases on the Delta Acustic label, all recorded using the Kunstkopf Stereophonie techniques. After that, the Schunke brothers would quit the studio and move to new adventures. Manfred continued experimenting with dummy head recording, he would work, among others, on albums by Can and also use his binaural engineering experience on Lou Reeds 1978 Lps Street Hassle and Take No Prisoners, among many others.
There were originally two different versions of the album, the Wah Wah edition reproduces the longer, uncut one. First ever official vinyl reissue, with remastered sound and an insert with liner notes curated by Wolfgang Schunke for the occasion.” - Wah Wah.

Price: $25.00
"Time to unearth another Kraut obscurity, sought-after by collectors worldwide since his inclusion on the legendary NWW list. Franz De Byls second album, released by Thorofon in 1971, was actually his debut as a solo performer, an eccentric collection of freaky acoustic folk songs with bluesy elements and an extra satirical, political twist (not unlike Floh De Cologne). Weird sounds and compulsive chanting from this master of the acoustic guitar, one of the most curious characters to ever emerge from the Berlin underground!" - Wah Wah.

Artist: DELIRED CAMELEON FAMILY
Title: Visa De Censure Nº X
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $29.00
"Another lost gem of French underground music, Delired Cameleon Family was originally conceived as the soundtrack to Pierre Clémentis Visa de censure nº X, and was originally released as an LP in 1975. It was a host of reputed experimentalists who took charge of producing this soundtrack. Under the direction of Cyrille Verdeaux we found the likes of Yvan Coaquette (Música Electrónica Viva, Spacecraft...), Gilbert Artman (Lard Free, Urban Sax...), Christian Boulé, Tim Blake (Gong, solo recordings...), Ariel Kalma (Heldon, solo recordings), Jean-Claude dAgostini, François Jeanneau, Jean Padovani, Olivier Pamela, Joël Dugrenot, Antoine Duvernet, Aude Cornillac and Valérie Lagrange. Cyrille Verdeaux was, of course, the main force behind the better known French band Clear Light. Verdeaux was born the 31st of July of 1949 in Paris. At the age of 15 he became a student at the French National Conservatory of Music, specialising in studies of harmony, composition and piano. He won three times the first prize in student composition. After the 1968 student riots he left the Conservatory to join a band as a keyboardist. In 1972 he released Clearlight Symphony, thus forming the band Clear Light to tour through Europe performing his symphony. Clear Light would release three more LPs through the 70s, and also the soundtrack to Visa De Censure. The music form Delired Cameleon Family, as it has been told somewhere, is the synthesis of pianos technical, epic scales, psychedelic wah wah guitar sounds and electronic cosmic, molecular machines arrangements. We are proud to add this great experimental trippy soundtrack to the Wah Wah catalogue, reissued in cool vinyl, with remastered sound, housed in a faithful reproduction of the original sleeve and complete with an insert with liner notes and photos. Only 500 copies pressed, so better get yours before they are gone!" -Wah Wah

Artist: EDLER, HANS
Title: Elektron Kukeso
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $24.00
“After having served in the rich Swedish beat 1960s scene as a member of The Ghostriders and We 4, a.o., at the end of the decade Hans Edler became one of the pioneers of psychedelic electronic sounds experimentation in Europe. His "Elektron Kukéso" LP is a landmark in the genre. Released in 1971, it featured his explorations in electronic avant-garde music from the period 1969-1971. It was recorded at the Electronic Music Studio foundation, one of the worlds most advanced studios in the era, and one of the few prepared for the creation of electronic music."
"Since the original LP was pretty short, seven bonus tracks not appeared on the original release have been added. These songs predate the LP tracks and are from 1969 / 1970. Remastered sound, an insert with photos and liner notes complete this great reissue of this legendary Swedish electronics LP.” - Wah Wah.
"Influenced by the works of Karl-Heinz Stockhausen and using techniques similar to those of Pierre Henry or Raymond Scott, Edler brought a psychedelic edge into electronic music just like Silver Apples had done in the USA. The album has also a strong rock attitude plus a certain pop sensitivity in some passages, not far from that of David Axelrods, which confers it a distance from what used to be the more serious appeal of what most electronic pioneers had been doing, giving the album an accessivity that is closer to the electronic hits of artists such as Gershon Kingsley, Jean-Jacques Perrey or Dick Hyman. However, be it because of the songs being sung in Swedish or the outsider reputation Edler seems to have in the Swedish musical scene, this great LP remained an obscurity - hardly spoken of outside a small circle of connoisseurs and collectors.
"It really doesnt get much better than this. In these days of harsh turmoil to uncover a rock & roll sweetheart like Hans Edler it really proves the gods to be smiling. Bonafide electronic experimentation with a heart full of pop is a love potion most desirable. Listen to the religious Brian Wilson-meets-Jandek orayer hymns of young Edler and travel to a time when long haired girls and dope-laced boys were truly getting it "on". The hybrid fascination of electronic space composition and soul sweet pop-love in such a fresh state has me floating to my tombstone cloud." -Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth).
"Hans Edlers Elektron Kukéso reflects a man who, musically speaking, is in a world of his own. Edlers music seem to be totally uninfluenced by the music of his day. On the contrary, Edler seemed to be making up his own musical rules, and if the rest of the world didnt follow, that was probably fine with him. As for his tunes...(they)... resemble folk music, but in a strange, contorted way. I have never heard an album that is so devoid of musical influence of others, and to me, thats what makes it remarkable." - Dana Countryman (Cool and Strange Music Magazine).

Artist: ELEKTRIKTUS
Title: Electronic Mind Waves
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $29.00
"Out of the mysterious mind of Andrea Centazzo came Elektriktus. Originally released on the PDU label, the LP Electronic Mind Waves offers a collection of eight synth-fueled songs that sound very close to what kraut/cosmische heads were doing at the time, think of Conrad Schnitzler, Deuter or Cosmic Jokers, and also other European experimentalists like Richard Pinhas Heldon, Spacecraft, Didier Bocquet, Seesselberg, F.G. Experimental Laboratory, Roberto Cacciapaglia or Hydrus. Along with Cacciapaglia and Hydrus, Elektriktus shows the most adventurous experimental sounds under a kraut/cosmische music influence to ever come out of Italy. Centazzo was already a highly experienced musician when he produced this LP in his home studio in 1976. He had been the drummer on Giorgio Gasslinis Quartet, with whom he also recorded several LPs, and also on his own jazz band Ictus (actually the name Elektriktus came out of melting his electronic experiments with his former bands name). Hes actually one of the key names from the Italian improv/free-jazz scene and the driving force behind the ICTUS label. Strongly recommended to fans of minimal electronic music, kosmische sounds and ambient soundscapes. The Wah Wah reissue comes in an exact repro of its original sleeve and features an insert with information and photos. Strictly limited to only 500 copies." -Wah Wah.

Price: $28.00
Gatefold sleeve. "Wah Wah brings you more essential Krautrock sounds, this time focusing on the pioneering innovative fusions born out in Munich in the early 70s which helped to bridge the gap between East & West. Were proud to offer the first four albums by one of the longest running bands in the history of German rock: Embryo. Formed around the core of jazz vibrafonist Christian Burchard and drummer Dieter Serfas, the band started their career in Munich in 1969. 40 years later, more than 300 musicians have passed thru their ranks, from their colleagues of Amon Duül II (Lother Meid, Chris Karrer, Jimmy Jackson), Xhol (Hansi Fischer), Between (Roberto Detree, Peter Hamel) to renowned jazzmen (Charlie Mariano, Mal Waldron) or countless musicians from around the world (Yoruba Dun Dun Orchester, Okay Temiz & Oriental Wind, Karnataka College Of Percussion, Mahmoud Gania, Xizhi Nie), making Embryo an ever-changing but always interesting collective of musicians. This is where it all began. Originally released by Ohr in 1970, Embryos legendary debut was an inventive piece of progressive jazz-rock spiced-up with free moves and soaked in a late 60s psychedelic atmosphere. The original blueprint which gave birth to the jazzier-end of Krautrock (Xhol, Kollektiv, Thirsty Moon, Kraan...). An absolutely must-have for any Krautrock buff and one of the best Ohr albums! With John Kelly (Ten Years After), Edgar Hofmann, Christian Burchard, Ralph Fischer plus guests Bettsy Alleh (voice), Roberto Detree (motocello), Holger Trülsch (bongo)." - Wah Wah.

Artist: FLUTE & VOICE
Title: Drachenlieder
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $24.00
“Formed by multi-instrumentalists Hans Reffert (Flute) and Hans Brandeis (Voice) in Mannheim in 1969, the Flute & Voice duo discographic debut was issued on Pilz that same year. Their second album was originally recorded in 1973, but it remained unreleased for 22 years until Jack Wieber Records issued it on CD in 1995 as part of a 2 album CD (along with Imaginations Of Light) and now available on vinyl LP format through Wah Wah. But some more material was composed in 1974/1975 and recorded, albeit never going further than the demo stage. Those old tapes showed a further evolution from the previous recordings. They had, of course, the same basic concept, but more intrincate structures and technical challenges were taken. When Brandeis and Reffert met in 1995 to prepare the reissue of Flute & Voice plus Hallo Rabbit on CD they rescued these tapes and thought of chosing the best tracks to re-record them in a proffessional studio. This was done between February and June of 1996 and the results conform Drachenlieder, an album that does not pale in comparison with its predecessors, and one that you wouldnt have thought it was recorded in the nineties if we havent told you as it keeps the excitement, feeling and sound of their 70s recordings.
"We were on a continuous search for something “new.” “This guy is cool, he’s got it...” or “That one is uncool...” were the two main criteria for us to distinguish two categories of musicians: the inven tive, artistic creators of new sounds and the success-oriented plagiators of “commercial” mainstream music. Rarely did we accept other musicians as birds of the same feather, like e.g. the Scottish Incredible String Band or the American Oregon Ensemble – sometimes, but mostly never." (From Hans Brandeis website)
"It was our goal that all our musical compositions should differ from each other as much as possible. Therefore, we adopted elements and ideas from most diverse music traditions and styles – at that time, just like today, an attitude completely opposed to commercial interests." (From Hans Brandeis website)
"For special stage performances and recording sessions, musicians from very different lines joined us: soul and jazz saxophone player Thomas Böhmer, the Indian tabla player Bal Kulkarni who also had played with the Beatles sometime, Ron Martin, the black percussion player from the States, cellist and drummer Clemens Schuster and violin player Dorle Ferber, to name just a few."
"Our approach to music as well as the content of our song lyrics of that time clearly reflected the zeitgeist of the late 1960s: a growing awareness for the social aspects of music and the responsibilities of musicians, hippie values, mind-expansion... Regarding the music, however, we consistently fell between all stools: the jazzers would say that our music was rock, the rockers would regard it as jazz; the folk people considered it as avantgarde music, the avantgarde musicians, however, stated that “now – this is really nothing but pure light music,” and for the musical entertainers, finally, it was a “noble (but lost) art” – for many a one, our music was just too complicated, for others just too naive... Our concept, therefore, was more a kind of “anti-concept:” not wanting to move from one point to another, but to expand from one point into all directions." (From Hans Brandeis website) Krautrock meets world music, heady psychedelic jazz, ethnic explorations. As you can imagine, the bands sound is unique and unlike anything else youve heard, but it will appeal those into artists such as Magic Carpet, Oriental Sunshine, Saddhu Brand, Mick Softleys Sunrise LP, Bobby Callenders Rainbow LP, Sagram, a.o.
Fans of Magic Carpet, King Crimsons In The Court Of The Crimson King, Third Ear Band, Kalacakra, Oriental Sunshine, Bobby Callender, Clem Alford, Kali Bahlu or the "sitar side" of Popol Vuh will enjoy this one! Title: Imaginations of Light + Hallo Rabbit
Format: Double LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $37.00
"Formed by multi-instrumentalists Hans Reffert (Flute) and Hans Brandeis (Voice) in Mannheim in 1969, the Flute & Voice duo discographic debut was issued on Pilz in 1970. It featured a progressive mixture of ethnic influences and accoustic experimentations making it one of the most sought after pieces from krautrocks most underground scene. Hans Reffert was already considered one of the best guitarists in the Mannheim/Heidelberg area, having played banjo since the age of 12 and then studied with guitar master Siegfriend Schwab, and when he joined forces with Hans brandeis the two experimented with various instruments and voices to find their sound. Imaginations Of Light features a wide range of different tools to make a whole sound spectrum that melts psyched out folk with experimental jazz and world music. Flutes and voices, obviously, are joined by different types of guitars (acoustic, electric, dobro...), electric bass and sitar, all performed by the two Hanses, plus cello, violin and moroccan percussions courtesy of guest musicians Clemens Schuster (cello), Dorle Ferber and Julia Gallwitz (violins) and Guru Gurus Mani Neumeier (percussions - Reffert himself played some years in Guru Guru during the eighties).
Their second album, Hallo RabbitI, originally recorded in 1973, only saw the life as a test pressing that, at the time, was rejected by BASF for release. And so it remained in the vaults until Jack Wieber Records issued it on CD in 1995 as part of a 2 album CD (along with Imaginations Of Light). It shows a progression that some sources have noted to be a more direct and clearly structured sound, but obviously without any concessions to their principles of experimentation in sound, use of different instrumental textures, and their rich ethnic background.
"We were on a continuous search for something “new.” “This guy is cool, he’s got it...” or “That one is uncool...” were the two main criteria for us to distinguish two categories of musicians: the inventive, artistic creators of new sounds and the success-oriented plagiators of “commercial” mainstream music. Artist: GUALBERTO
Title: Gualberto
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $24.00
"The first album by this mythical Andalusian multi-instrumentalist, member of the legendary Smash, recorded in 1971 in Barcelona (another nice example of the fertile connection between the scenes in Seville and Barcelona at the beginning of the seventies), it remained unreleased until 1978 (when it appeared as one part of the double LP El Nacimiento Del Rock En Andalucía). Rescued by Wah Wah thirty years after, the album shows Gualberto in a phase of creative definition, half-way Smashs powerful sound and unique mix of psych & folk with some oriental touch (Gualbertos ubiquitous sitar and Jessicas characteristic vocals) which will became his trademark in forthcoming LPs. (A La Vida - Al Dolor, Vericuetos). Without a doubt, one of the unknown treasures of Sevilles early psych/prog scene... Limited issue of 500 numbered copies w/ gatefold cover." - Wah Wah

Title: The Voice of Silence
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $24.00
“A few years ago we were lucky to be allowed to reissue some of Peter Michael Hamel works. Two LPs by Between (And The Waters Opened - now deleted - and Einstieg -a few copies still available) and the great Hamel 2LP (also deleted!) joined the Wah Wah catalogue. We would have wanted to go for the Voice Of The Silence too, an now we have finally got the kind permission to go for it.
Here is a much needed reissue of the sought after second LP by Peter Michael Hamel, originally released on the collectable Vertigo label in 1973. Hamels experimentation with meditative and minimalist sounds is a further field of exploration for those into the likes of Terry Riley, LaMonte Young, Popol Vuh, Taj Mahal Travellers or Deuter - and will also appeal to those with interest in ambient and meditation musics.
From "A Few Thoughts on Composer PMH" by Terry Riley: "...Peters heart did not seem to be aligned alone with the post Webern traditions that had emerged so prevalently in Germany. His sensibilities were attracted more to American minimalism and Indian music and to some degree Rock and Jazz. In this sense he stands apart in the field of modern music of Germany. He has recognized the vast importance of improvisation and being in the moment in music performance. He realizes the importance of experimentation and of finding new ways to notate his ideas. However, his music is at the same time rooted in the great German tradition and today he is recognized as a major figure whose compositions have greatly enriched the development of 20th and 21st century."
Originally released in Vertigo in 1973, the Wah Wah reissue will come housed in a textured sleeve reproducing the original artwork, remastered sound, and feature an insert with photos and liner notes. Limited edition of only 500 copies.” - Wah Wah.

Artist: HELDON
Title: Agneta Nilsson
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $29.00
"After our acclaimed reissues of the previous three LPs by Richard Pinhas project Heldon, here is their fourth LP originally issued on Disjuncta/Urus in 1976. Agneta Nilsson is an interesting step in Heldons development: it gives a twist to their classic sound, which was mainly built around Pinhas Fripp-esque guitar work and ambient synth experiments to begin to explore a more rhythmic territory. Drums and bass take more presence here, offering a rockier feel, but somehow retaining the mysterious ambience of its predecessors, while adding an extra touch of sinister aggressiveness. Featuring among others Magmas keyboardist, Patrick Gauthier, it starts pretty much in the same ambient, spacey, minimalist electronic mood of the previous Heldon releases, but as the development of the main title Perspective goes ahead the move towards the more guitar and drums sound of the next to come Heldon sound is evident. Agneta Nilssons sound has been described somewhere as a more sinister Tangerine Dream mixed with a more jammy King Crimson. Our reissue comes housed in a faithful reproduction of the original sleeve. It is made in a strictly limited edition of only 500 copies." -Wah Wah

Title: Électronique Guerilla
Format: LP + 7"
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $29.00
"After our string of releases centered around the diverse German 70s scene, were happy to introduce the next installment in the Wah Wah LPS reissue series. This time we move over to France to re-discover the beginnings of one of the most adventurous, influential and innovative French bands of the seventies: Heldon. Centered around guitarist Richard Pinhas and featuring a floating cast of regular collaborators (Didier Batard, François Auger, Patrick Gauthier, Alain Renaud, Georges Grunblatt; Coco Roussel amongst others), Heldon will marry Pinhas personal obsessions of modern philosophy (Deleuze, Guattari), science-fiction (Norman Spinrad, Philip K.Dick), progressive rock (King Crimson, Fripp & Eno), American minimalism (Terry Riley, Steve Reich) and electronic music into a diverse musical cocktail that goes from the violent to the relaxed, but always retaining a dark and mysterious vibe. Often linked by critics and listeners to the experimental German bands of the era (Tangerine Dream, Ash Ra Tempel..), Heldon will release six crucial albums before being closed down by Pinhas in the late 70s. Since then, Pinhas has developed a long solo career that lives up to this day, releasing several albums and collaborations (Pascal Comelade, John Livengood, Maurice Dantec), including with Japanese noise king Merzbow. Dedicated to Robert Wyatt, Heldons debut contained a puzzling collection of tracks that serve as a perfect introduction to Pinhas universe: science-fiction, philosophy and musical experimentation collide in a harsh lo-fi tapestry of sounds dominated by Pinhas 1954 Gibson Les Paul guitar and AKS synth. Not unlike some contemporary German bands, Heldon manages to take rock n rolls language to a new experimental stage. Convulsive and evocative soundscapes recommended to all lovers of innovative and ground-breaking music. Strictly limited to 500 copies. High quality sleeves reproducing the original artwork from 1974s first press on Disjuncta. Includes insert with extra liner notes by Spanish journalist and long-time Heldon fan Paco Peiró. Bonus 7" EP with tracks taken from Heldons predecessor band Schizos two EPs. 7" tracklist: A1. Schizo (and the little girl) A2. Paraphrenia Praecox (originally released in 1972) B1. Le Voyageur B2. Title: Third (Its Always Rock n Roll)
Format: Double LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $45.00
"After our acclaimed reissues of the first two LPs by French electronic rock pioneers Heldon, we are proud to offer a lavish vinyl version of their third album (also known as Its Always Rock n Roll), where Pinhas and Co. follow the same paths he created with Electronique Guérila under the strong influence of works by Robert Fripp and Brian Eno, and of course the contemporanean Krautrock movement. For those of you following our line of releases there will be no need to say that composer, guitarist & electronics innovator Richard Pinhas is recognized as one of Frances major experimental musicians and is a pivotal figure in the development of electronic rock. This third delivery of Heldons works was first released on Disjuncta in 1975 as a double LP and features Richard Pinhas (ARP & VCS3 Synthesizers, guitars, bass, Mellotron) and George Grunblatt (Mellotron, guitars) plus contributions from some other greats of the genre like Patrick Gauthier (ARP synthesizers), Gilbert Artman (of Lard Free fame on drums), Jean My Truong (also on drums) and Ariel Kalma (Indian Harmonium). The double LP set came housed in a beautiful 7-ink gatefold sleeve that we will faithfully reproduce in full glory (that is, including the two extra gold & silver inks print). "A big classic from the psychedelic era, the SUPREME PSYCHEDELIC UNDERGROUND exploitation album is said to have been recorded by DEEP PURPLE, which band members Jon Lord, Ritchie Blackmore and Ian Paice have always denied. In any case, this sounds more PURPLE than Lord & Co. themselves! Very close to the sound of SHADES OF DEEP PURPLE, it contains some great Hammond works, guitar pirotecnics with loads of wah wah and distortion and psychedelic vocals. The whole album is a sonic blast that will appeal to fans of Deep Purple, psychedelic hipsters and of course general collectors and afficionados." - Wah Wah.

Title: Un Gran Dia
Format: LP/7"
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $32.00
"Key duo from the catalan folk scene, result of the union between Ia Clua (from "2+1") and Jordi Batiste (one of the leading forces of Máquina! together with Enric Herrera), after thelater ones return from military service. "Un Gran Día".the duos first album, was recorded at the end of 1972 with the help of such outstanding musicians as Manel Joseph (ex "2+1", Ias early band)), Joaquín "Max" Suñer (Vértice, Tapimán, Iceberg y a neverding etc ) & Albert Batiste(Musica Dispersa). The result is an amazing & varied musical tapestry, best heard in the records first side, a long suite covering from orchestral folk-pop with some psych leanings ("Un Gran Día","Max") to straight in-your-face  hard rock ("Sleeping Rock") via typicalearly 70s prog rock ("Oliba") or uncathegorisable experiments whichdefy all rules ("Reprise")  and show perfectly the freaky stagereached by the catalan scene in its early years (as a matter of fact, the record is sung in english and catalan...). A piece of wax which went totally unnoticed when first released in a tiny pressing back in the days (thus becoming a big ticket item in the collectors market) and which Wah Wah rescues from oblivionthirty years after its original release. An excellent work which deserves to be discovered by a wider public... Limited issue of 500 numbered copies in gatefold cover reproducing the original artwork, including a colour insert, a colour poster and a bonus 7" single w/ one previously unreleased song." - Wah Wah.

Title: Supernova
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $27.00
"With several connections to the early Kraftwerk history and formed in the Rhineland area in 1971, Ibliss was a quintet formed by percussionist Basil Hammoudi (from Organisation, the band before Kraftwerk), drummer Andreas Hohmann (also from Kraftwerk), brothers Wolfgang and Norbert Büllmeyer (bass and guitar respectively) and Rainer Büchel on sax and flute. With the help of Conny Plank, they recorded their one and only LP at Hamburgs Windrose-Studios: four long instrumental tracks in a hypnotic style that takes cues both from the teutonic motorik style and way-out jazz techniques. Kind of a floating cosmic fusion sound with a great emphasis on the rhythmic section. Another great and unknown album from the jazzier end of krautrock (Kollektiv, Thirsty Moon, Annexus Quam, Embryo, Organistaion?). Strictly limited to 500 copies. Quality pressing. Gatefold cover reproducing artwork from the original Spiegelei issue. Includes insert with pics and information on the band." - Wah Wah.

Price: $21.00
"Before his magnificent experiments with electronic music on Elektrictus (previously reissued on Wah Wah), Andrea Centazzo was already an accomplished musician who had issued his recorded works on the PDU and RCA labels. His first release was Ictus, a free-form avantgarde jazz oddessey on which he already started to experiment with electronic generated sounds.
Ictus was a band formed by Centazzo, Armando Battiston and Franco Feruglio, although back in the day the sleeve of the PDU release credited the work only to Centazzo, and as if Ictus was simply the title of the album. This was a big mistake that we have been asked to correct in our reissue.
A brave drummer and percussionist, on this album Centazzo also played flute, synths and sang. He was joined on some tracks by Franco Feruglio on bass and double bass and Armando Battiston on keyboards. It has been compared to Soft Machines Third or Wolfgang Dauners Et Cetera.
It was originally released in 1974 and it gets its first ever vinyl reissue here, housed in a gatefold cover in a 500 copies limited edition. " - Wah Wah.

"Bernard Ilous came from a music lovers family, his parents were into jazz and classical music and the young Ilous inherited that sensitivity to the point of teaching himself to play guitar and piano. He discovered R&R and started doing covers of The Beatles and Bob Dylan, but he soon showed skills to write his own compositions. He showed his work to music publisher Gerard Tavernier who signed him to his company and thus some of Ilous songs appeared on LPs by Francoise Hardy, Eric Charden, Johnny Hallyday, Dick Rivers, a.o. In 1969 his friend Claude Putterflam left his job at Vogue to create Flamophone records and he produced a single for Ilous, who was willing to release his own songs by himself. Very soon Ilous joined forces with Patrice Decuyper with whom he would record the amazing LP on offer here. Issued also on Flamophone in July 1971, its blend of folk & pop brings to mind echoes of The Beatles, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young or Joni Mitchell. The sound on the LP is amazing, they took one whole year to produce it, as they were using free studio hours now and then to stay into a budget, and they played most of the guitars and keyboards and were helped by friends from Le Systeme Crapoutchik on other instruments. The production is excellent and the compositions are amazing, probably one of the most impressive French-sung LPs of all time, and a must for lovers of 60s and 70s perfectly arranged & produced, well crafted works. It is reissued on vinyl for the first time since its original release, mastered from the original tapes and featuring a bonus 7" containing the two songs from their 1972 non-LP single plus an insert with liner notes. In a limited edition of only 500 copies, gatefold sleeve." -Wah Wah

Title: Agilok & Blubbo
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah

Price: $28.00
"The Inner Space is the stuff of legend. This obscure outfit is best known as the antecessor band of Can and not much is known about them except it featured the core members of Can (Irmin Schmidt, Holger Czukay, Michael Karoli and Jaki Liebezeit) and lasted just a few months before renaming themselves The Can and releasing Monster Movie. They left two ultra-obscure seven inches as their only recorded legacy and only the first of them is credited to The Inner Space, it contained two songs taken from the soundtrack of 1969s underground film Agilok & Blubbo. Originally released by the German Vogue label in 1969, it currently fetches prices around the 300 euro mark in the collectors circuit. Given the obscurity of both the band and its recorded output, were proud to present, for the first time to the public, not only the aforementioned singles but the complete soundtrack to Peter F. Scheneiders offbeat political satire Agilok & Blubbo. Previously unavailable until now, the original master tapes of this soundtrack have been stored in the archives of legendary German producer and music publisher Hans Wewerka who produced the recording sessions back in 1969. Here you can hear history in the making, the first step of a group of musicians wholl go on to achieve fame, success and recognition over the 70s, helping define a sound (often called Krautrock) that has been highly influential to this day. Those familiar with Cans output will recognize some of the bands characteristic sound, albeit in an embryonic form. Songs like Agilok & Blubbo or Kamera Song already hint at their later pop brilliance whereas the short cues and extended free jams found elsewhere in this soundtrack reminds us from the heterogeneous roots of a bunch of musicians coming from rock, jazz and avant-garde backgrounds. All in all, an excellent glimpse into the early stages of an innovative band developing its own musical language. This reissue includes detailed liner notes by Wah Wahs very own Raül G.Pratginestós and comes illustrated by original b/w shoots from the movie production. CD issue contains two bonus tracks: Memographie, plus Irmin Schmidts 1967 composition Hexapussy. In all, over 28 minutes of bonus material!" - Wah Wah.

Artist: KUHN BROTHERS & THE MAD ROCKERS, THE
Title: S/T
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $29.00
"Experienced jazz avant gardists Joachim and Rolf Kühn joined forces with Volker Kriegel, Gunter Lenz and Stu Martin to release this superb mixture of Krautrock, psych, funk and free jazz. With all kind of sound effects coming from distorted clarinets, Hammond organ, groovy bass/drums section, breaks and hot guitar licks The Mad Rockers paved the way for many Krautrockers to follow. Reissued in vinyl for the first time since its 1969 debut on the Metronome label, this is a basic record to showcase the rich mixture of different styles that would make the 70s German music scene so unique and appealing. The Kühn Brothers, Rolf and Joachim, were at first reluctant to the reissue of this amazing LP. They are highly trained musicians with a huge experience and a big sense of innovation and they felt they have many works which are much better than this one, which undoubtedly they do have since they started being really young and are still at it nowadays, but here at Wah Wah we do feel The Mad Rockers album is a landmark in krautrock story, since it anticipates the path that would be travelled by so many legendary krautsters of the seventies. Everything is there, the adventurous mixture of styles so diverse as psychedelic rock, jazz, funk... You name it, you find it. Plenty of excellent breaks, experimental in the quest for new sounds, with instruments run through distortion effects, the musicians involved are all key figures in the development of modern European of its era. You have Volker Kriegel, who besides his own solo recordings shall also be remembered for his great contributions to Dave Pike Sets classic albums or his work with Klaus Doldinger. There is Stu Martin, drummer also on other interesting projects like The Free Pop Experimental Concept also reissued on Wah Wah. Plus Günter Lenz on bass, jazz master who has worked among others with names like Krzysztof Komeda, Lighting Hopkins, Chet Baker, Coleman Hawkins or Olivier Nelson, and he has even done orchestral arrangements for Plácido Domingo! Jazz meets rock, funk and psych, absolutely amazing groovy LP! With 1 song compiled on Andy Votels Music To Watch Girls By, the rest of the LP is equally good! Gatefold sleeve." -Wah Wah

"The first album by Lard Free, simply titled Gilbert Artmans Lard Free, is released in 1973 on the Vamp label. It has been recorded and mixed in April that year, the recording session taking place for only 36 hours in a London studio. But thats enough time for the band to showcase the adventurous spirit of Gilbert & Co. Theres drums and sax of jazzy, repetitive inspiration, free-rock guitar licks and an always present AKS synthesizer that produce one of the essential works of Europes musical avant-garde on its time. After this brilliant recorded legacy, Lard Free split in 1978, with Artman dedicating his time to his more successful project Urban Sax. Besides some new musicians, another step forward in Artmans constant evolution is the use of the recording studio as an additional instrument that offers a whole lot of possibilities to creative expansion. The results are amazing : under an apparently lineal structure theres thousands of sound brushtrokes that feed themselves back to create a strange and provocative post-industrial picture. Gilbert Artman (orgue, piano, arp synthesizer, vibraphone, drums premier), Xavier Baulleret (guitares), Yves Lanes (synthy-ems), Jean-Pierre Thiraut (clarinette). "Lard Frees second LP, Im Around About Midnight, was recorded in Paris in a three day session and released in 1975, also on Vamp. There is a totally different line-up from that of the first LP and it features long time friend Richard Pinhas, with whom Artman explores (in his own way) some sound passages of strong Heldon inspiration, although in a less immediate register, building an organic layered sound that emanates a certain shadowy formal beauty. The strong Artman-Pinhas connection is also confirmed by the inclusion on Heldons Third of the track Pale violence under a reverbere, on a different mix and different title, Méchamment rock. Featuring : Gilbert Artman (drums, percussions, vibes, hammond organ, steinway piano, tenor sax), Richard Pinhas (guitars, bass guitar, arp synthetisers, synthi vks 3), Alain Audat (synthi vks 3, tenor sax, clb), Antoine Duvernot (alto sax, flute). Title: Integrati… Disintegrati
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $24.00
“Music that moves like smoke and incapacitates your defenses as only the “It was 1977, the year when punk rock exploded in the face of disco-music, but some thinking heads in Italy managed to escape the set trends of the year and walk a totally different path. Pioneers like Franco Battiato had already been experimenting with a crash of rock and electroacoustic music since the beginning of the decade, and others like Roberto Cacciapaglia or Riccardo Zappa would explore farther in those lands, mixing acoustic instruments with the bourgeoning synth technology. Among all these artists, an obscure little gem missed the attention it deserved: Integrati… Disintegrati, by Francesco Leprino, is undoubtedly one of the best albums of the genre. More freely unchained from the prog rock links that albums like Battiatos celebrated Fetus and Pollution LPs or Zappas Celestion still retain, Leprino merges a very pure classical instrumentation of Spanish guitar, piano and flute with more modern electric guitar sounds, 12 string guitar and -of course- a V.C.S. 3 and Moog synths background that creates highly avantgarde atmospheres. Binson tape echoes, Hammond and Thomas organs, oboes, vibraphone and other additional instruments add texture richness to the final mix.
An outstanding opus split through both sides of an LP in two 20 minutes long pieces that has become a much sought after album among collectors. It will appeal those interested in the development of synth music, beautiful athmosferic landscapes and electronic-acoustic orchestrated sounds.
Reissued under license from Francesco Leprino in a 500 copies limited edition that respects the original artwork, comes with remastered sound and includes an insert with liner notes and photos.” - Wah Wah.

Title: Electronic Music To Blow Your Mind By
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $30.00
"KILLER exploito psych LP from 1968 by the Love Machine, “Electronic Music to Blow Your Mind By!!!” – and trust me, it CAN be done – on the Design label. One of the harder-to-find exploito-psych albumswith an absolutely KILLER psychedelic cover. Like all these studio cash-in albums, you need to approach this one in the right state of mind, and by that I mean altered. But the great thing about these budget albums is that someone behind the controls seems to be trying out ALL the latest psychedelic effects – stereo panning, phasing and whatever electronic gadgetry they had left over from the last timeBeaver and Krause blew through town. And so, if you can get past the fact that no REAL bands were involved here, this is still one heck of a BLAST to listen to! The Love Machine add in a steady stream ofouter space synth and moog sounds, like some rejected soundtrack to an episode of “Star Trek” (the original one, kids, with William Shatner), all echoed and delayed in suitably “cosmic” fashion.

Remastered sound, killer sleeve with backflaps and limited to 500 copies only!" - Wah Wah.

Artist: MAD CURRY
Title: Mad Curry
Format: LP + 7"
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $32.00
"Founded in Belgium in 1970 with a remarkable line-up for a rock band: sax, organ, bass, drums and vocals - no guitar!, Mad Curry caught the attention of manager & enterpreneur Louis de Vries (the man who had arranged the very first Pink Floyd gig in Belgium) and soon debuted with the "Song for Cathreen" / "Antwerp" 45. "Antwerp" has become a club favourite ever since due to its danceable freakbeat psych rhythm.
Shortly after, the Mad Curry album was released on the Pirate label, characterized by repeated time signatures that give a progressive feeling. Sax and organ bring a specific jazzy element in the performance and the unique high bluesy voice of Viona Westra is very recognizable. All this supported by a solid rhythm team which adds a psychedelic rock base to the mix. The album was housed in a beautiful, very original fold-out cover made by Jef Winnepenninckx. If you are into the sounds of UK bands like Affinity or Ghost do not miss this splendid classic of the Belgian underground scene.
First ever vinyl reissue, the Wah Wah edition is made with the help of Louis de Vries & the band, and comes with the bonus PS 7" of "Song For Cathleen" / "Antwerp", a reproduction of the gorgeous six panel fold-out sleeve and an insert with liner notes by Herman Permentier and cool unseen photos.
Limited to only 500 copies!" - Wah Wah.

"Recorded in 1971 and issued originally only in France by CBS, the first LP by post Spoils Of War band Mormos is a masterpiece of fabulous experimental psychedelic acid folk sounds and bizarre melodies. Influences from contemporaries such as The Incredible String Band are present, as are some resemblances to the recordings of other acts like Comus or Dr. Strangely Strange, but the Mormos sound creates unique athmospheres unheard in any other works of the era that can be fragile and weird in equal parts.
Jim Cuomo formed Mormos after his Spoils Of War project. The new group moved to France where they recorded two albums, "Great Wall Of China" being the first, now reissued in full glory in cooperation with Cuomo himself and with the upgrade of bonus tracks and a 7" EP and, of course, an insert with some notes from Jim Cuomo.

Title: Musica Dispersa
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $27.00
"1971 Spanish album that featured the talent of three of the most significant musicians from the Catalonian underground movement of the late sixties: Jaume Sisa, J.M. Brabo El Cachas and Albert Batiste, who after their Miniatura project with Pau Riba were joined by young hippie girl Selene. This sole effort by the group is a masterpiece of melodic tunes that pay a tribute to the English folk movement of the era, as it does to the early Amon Duüls freak out sound concept . Echoes of The Incredible String Band are present mainly in the guitar parts; drums are absent in all but one track on which they are played by Josep M Vilaseca Tapi, of Máquina & Tapiman fame, but percussion, harmonica, organ, mouth harp, piano and wordless vocals are heard throughout the album, as is Selenes flute work. All in all this is a strange, relaxing little piece of underground from Barcelonas early seventies hippie youth that has become a classic of Spanish pop music; available in a 1000 copies only strictly limited edition that respects the original gatefold artwork, including the slight relief of the cover illustration. Extensive liner notes and photographs." - MMS. Highly Recommended!

“O.P.M.C. (Oldest Professional Music Company, as they were living in the famous Amsterdam Red Light District in those days) centered around Barrie Webb and Teun van der Slikke with different line ups during their existence. Other musicians in their recordings feature Frank van Tijn (drums), Peter van der Sande (bass, cello, elctric guitar, keyboards - plus he also did arrangements and production) and Onny Lopulalan (lead guitar), some of them having served in other interesting Dutch bands such as Apartment 1 or Serpentine. Even ex-Outsiders legends Leendert Busch and Appie Rammers were at once among the O.P.M.C. line up!
On their second LP, "Product Of Pisces And Capricorn" from 1971, their sound has reached higher labels of sofistication, mixing the popsike path with 70s rockier stuff.

"The 1976 follow up to Wedge was No One Left But Me. Due to the lack of offers the Orange Wedge also released their second LP as a private pressing that was to be sold at gigs and local shops, and it sold like hot bread making this one an elusive piece among hard rock collectors. Their sound here is still 100% high energy, though an evolution has been made and the band sounds a bit more sophisticated. It was their best selling album at the time with a pressing of 1000 copies that hardly made it out of Baltimore, so heres a very good chance to rediscover this amazing piece of pure rock power. Here at Wah Wah we have respectfully worked on its reissue to offer you a killer release in thick cardboard paste-up sleeve, and featuring an insert with the story of the band and lots of cool photos gently provided by original Orange Wedge guitarist and composer Joe Farace. "Wah Wah is proud to offer the two LPs by Baltimores high energy hard rock pride Orange Wedge. Having become one of the most successful live acts in Maryland, Orange Wedge nevertheless didnt get to sign a contract with a proper label, so in 1974 they decided it was time to invest some of their money into the self-production of their first LP. Wedge, the resulting work, shows a highly energetic band performing their own original compositions direct to your ears. Housed in a plain blue sleeve with the title stamped on front, 500 copies were pressed, some to be sent to record companies with the hope of getting a proper contract and others to be sold at gigs and a few of them at local Maryland shops. Needles to say they were quickly deleted and the record is nowadays a much sought after treasure among collectors of the hard rock genre. "Wolfgang Orschakowski is one of the most free spirits of the krautrock underground. Hailing from Hamburg, he has been producing music, paintings and all other kinds of artistic projects for the past four decades, always active with dozens of new projects boiling inside his head. Zippo Zetterlink In The Poor Sun, originally released in 1971 as a self produced private pressing that is nowadays impossible to find unless you are ready to pay some amounts of money in the collectors market, was his first ever release. It is at last reissued in vinyl, a properly licensed edition done with the kind cooperation of Wolfgang himself and housed in an exact repro of its original sleeve.
The music contained could be taken as the seed to Orschakowskis music world : free-form underground sounds, a way-out trip through expansive guitar riffs and strumming, hypnotic bass lines, killer drum breakbeats and elusive percussion, plus the occasional vocal, some blues freak-out and psychedelic effects. It will appeal to fans of other kraut classics like Amon Düüls Psychedelic Underground, early Guru Guru and the likes.

Title: Aguirre
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $31.00
"Werner Herzogs 1972 film Aguirre, The Wrath Of God was the first collaboration between the famed director and Popol Vuh. Florian Fricke was approached by old friend Herzog to do the soundtrack for his third movie. Three years later, in 1975, after the international success of Herzogs film, Popol Vuh issued the LP Aguirre. It featured material recorded for the movie plus some other songs. Some of them recorded prior to 1975 - the Aguirre soundtrack ones, of course, plus there is the presence of the big Moog from Popol Vuhs early albums, and also contains Morgengruss II, an update of the Morgengruss song that had prevously appeared on Ensjäger Und Siebenjäger.
"Popol Vuhs “hypnotic music” for Aguirre met with considerable acclaim. Roger Ebert wrote, “The music sets the tone. It is haunting, ecclesiastical, human and yet something else... The music is crucial to Aguirre, the Wrath of God..." AllMusic noted, “The films central motif blends pulsing Moog and spectral voices conjured from Florian Frickes Mellotron-related "choir organ" to achieve something sublime, in the truest sense of the word: its hard not to find the musics awe-inspiring, overwhelming beauty simultaneously unsettling. The power of the legendary opening sequence of Herzogs film...owes as much to Popol Vuhs music as it does to the directors mise-en-scène.”
Herzog explained how the choir-like sound was created, "We used a strange instrument, which we called a “choir-organ.” It has inside it three dozen different tapes running parallel to each other in loops. ... All these tapes are running at the same time, and there is a keyboard on which you can play them like an organ so that [it will] sound just like a human choir but yet, at the same time, very artificial and really quite eerie."
In 1975, Popol Vuh released an album entitled Aguirre. Although ostensibly a soundtrack album to Herzogs film, the six-track LP included only two songs ("Aguirre I (LAcrime Di Rei)" and "Aguirre II") taken from Aguirre, the Wrath of God. The four remaining tracks were derived from various recordings done by the group c. 1972–1974. At the time of Aguirre, the band members were Fricke (piano, Mellotron), Fichelscher (electric guitar, acoustic guitar, drums), Djong Yun (vocals), and Robert Eliscu (oboe, pan pipe)." (Wikipedia)
Werner Herzog: “The music in my films is also very much neglected, if I may interrupt you, in Germany as well. Since AGUIRRE, my friend Florian Fricke, has done the music for almost all my films - for STEINER, for LA SOUFRIERE, for STROSZEK, and for HEART OF GLASS - and Ive tried to push very hard so that he would be given the National Film Award this year. Theyve never given it to him, and there has been complete neglect of his work. Not even a single mention! And this year they just by-passed him once again!” [From: Images at the Horizon, 1979]
Popol Vuh has been nominated three times for an Oscar for best original score: 1972 (Aguirre), 1979 (Nosferatu) and 1987 (Cobra Verde).
There have been several different editions of Aguirre and each has varied slightly or quite a lot from the original issue. Several reissues change the last track (the 17 minute long Vergegenwärtigung) to include material from other Popol Vuh albums, even in cases the song is listed on the sleeve the music is from completely different sources. Thanks to the accurate archive work of SPV on offer here is the original version of the album as it was first released in 1975.

“Another classic soundtrack produced by Popol Vuh for a Werner Herzog film was Herz Aus Glass. Its music still retains the powerful emphasis given to the previous LP in certain passages, although it goes back to their more reflexive ambiental athmospheres yet presenting that concept one step further into more evolutive structures and even adding some touches of a certain folk music feel. Djong Yun is not present anymore, but Daniel Fichelscher and Florian Fricke can still count on the collaboration of Al Gromer on sitar, plus the addition of Mathias von Tippelskirch on flute.

Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $31.00
“We start our second series of Popol Vuh reissues with the fantastic Das Hohelied Salomos, which takes it over from where Einsjäger Und Siebenjäger left it. It features the classic trio of Florian Fricke, Daniel Fichelscher and Djong Yun, plus the help of Amon Düüls Al Gromer. The theme of the album is taken from biblical passages, using verses from King Salomons tales on The Old Testament. The music is superb, great guitar soloing, amazing percussion work and the mesmerizing voice of Djong Yun on nine songs that echo previous works, mostly Einsjäger..., but also Hosianna Mantra comes to mind here and there. A perfectly balanced record that merges progrock sounds, eastern influences through the use of sitar and tabla and spiritual meditation.
The Wah Wah limited edition will have three bonus tracks and come housed the beautiful original sleeve artwork printed on brown craft type paper, as it was first released, and feature a triptic insert with liner notes.” - Wah Wah.

"With its religious theme it shouldnt be heretic to consider Hosianna Mantra as a small miracle. Suddenly the dark, unmelodic Popol Vuh offer us an incredibly beautiful work of amazing gothic folk that, this time, fit perfectly in the Pilz catalogue - yet managing to sound as something completely unique. It was originally released in 1972 and featured a host of musicians that included Conny Veit on guitars, Robert Eliscu on oboe, Djong Yun on vocals and Klaus Wiesse on tamboura, led of course by Florian Fricke who played piano and cembalo. The Wah Wah edition features a bonus 7" w/PS that reproduces the original, rare 45 by Korean soprano Djong Yun featuring "Du Sollst Lieben" and "Ave Maria", written by Bettina Fricke and backed by Popol Vuh. Reissued from the master tapes in quality vinyl pressing, full glory laminated gatefold cover and featuring the bonus 7" plus a poster and an insert with liners and photos. Title: Letzte Tage, Letzte Nächte
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $31.00
“Letzte Tage, Letzte Nächte is probably the most "rock" sounding work of Popol Vuhs production. Recorded by the classic trio of Fricke, Fichelscher and Yun, plus Ted de Jong on tamboura and Amon Düül members Al Gromer on sitar and Renate Knaup on additional vocals, its sounds seem to be more based on power than on ambient. Strong guitar passages emphasize this, with Fischelschers playing being harder than the Conny Veit ethereal parts on earlier records. The title track is also the first time that Popol Vuh record English words on a song.” - Wah Wah.
"With his blistering and emotional guitar work Fichelscher made his mark on many of the Popol Vuh albums. An album like "Letzte Tage, letzte Nachte"(1976 ) would not be possible without him. But also this album would be impossible without multi-tracking, a technique that Popol Vuh was heavily dependent on throughout their existence. This album shows Popol Vuh from its most rocking and dynamic side. But even here it is evident that a remarkable spiritualism defines the music. In a down-to-earth way Fricke wanted his music to be a "healing force", an "uplifting experience for the human soul". This spiritual quality is inherent and constitutive for all the music he made during his career. This proves Fricke was successful in communicating these intentions to the musicians involved." - Dolf Mulder.

Title: Nosferatu
Format: Double LP
Label: Wah Wah

Price: $45.00
“The story of the Nosferatu soundtrack editions through the years appears a little caotic. Several editions, with several sleeves and completely different tracklists have appeared in different countries. What we tried to offer here is the definitive edition of Popol Vuhs works for this fantastic Werner Herzog 1979 tribute to the old Murnau classic. When asked for a new soundtrack for Herzogs project, Florian Fricke and Daniel Fichelscher came out with a magnificent album that once again, as it had happened with Hosianna Mantra, opened new paths to follow. The album, although having been recorded with the movie in mind, was not titled Nosferatu. Instead it was released as Brüder des Schattens - Söhne des Lichts, which can be translated as "Brother Of Darkness - Son Of Light". It first came out in 1978 featuring amazing new age / ambient escapades based on repetitive passages and instrumentation of incredible beauty, recorded with the help of Al Gromer (Amon Düül) on sitar, Bob Eliscu (Between) on oboe, Ted de Jong on tamboura plus a complete church choir ensemble from Munich. Brüder des Schattens..., also issued in other editions as Nosferatu, makes disc one on this gorgeous double LP set.
Disc two of the Wah Wah edition features the LP that was originally released as the Nosferatu Original Sound Track album, also known as On The Way To A Little Way. A 1978 release, although it contained material recorded prior to that date. Right in the middle of the film production, Herzog felt he needed more music and asked Fricke for obscure, scary material. He searched the Popol Vuh archives and compiled the great collection that Nosferatu / On The Way... is. It came out a varied selectionç where older Moog tracks mix with more reflexive material that already gives clues of whats to come in Brüder des Schattens... Nevertheless, despite all the variety -or maybe thanks to it,- Nosferatu / On The Way To... turned out to be a fantastic, classic Popol Vuh album. We have added one bonus track previously unreleased in vinyl format.

Title: Dreaming The Magic Of Your Maya
Format: Double LP

Price: $48.00
"Recorded in 1968 and issued as a very limited run private pressing this psychedelic raga freak-out is the brainchild of multi disciplinar artist Loren Standlee plus his partner Ziska with the cooperation of Daevid Allen and Gilli Smith in what was an early incarnation of Gong. Loren and Ziska had been involved with the crowd of avantgardist free thinkers that settled in Formentera in the sixties, and back home in N.Y. they had also been connected to experimentalists such as Angus Maclise, Marian Zazeela, Tony Conrad, Henry Flynt, Pandit Pran Nath, a.o. This bizarre selection of sounds was the brainchild of Loren Standlee and Ziska and features a very early Gong incarnation. Loren Standlee and Ziska were among the “Formentera” (small Island near Ibiza, Spain) visionary poets, musicians and psychedelic ‘researchers’ in the early sixties. In Paris, they began hand-painting silk and designing clothes for many of the rock luminaries of the time, among them The Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Jimi Hendrix, as well as haute couture designers in Paris and London. They met Daevid Allen and Gilli Smyth at a poetry reading where Loren was playing Alto Flute and Ziska was creating vocal sounds to intermix with the flute. They began playing together as a group utilizing Daevid’s Italian echo chambers and soon they had a two-night-a-week gig playing at the Vielle Grille, an avant guard club in Paris where you might hear Ornette Coleman playing upstairs or see Yoko Ono performing in a sack on stage..

Gong was formed and took two identities: one, only Daevid Allen and Gilli Smyth’s material, and the other, the Gong sound of Daevid on ‘space’ guitar, crystals, feathers and other unpredictable objects, Loren on alto flute and jews harp, and Ziska and Gilli doing space whispering chanting sounds which built up to sound climaxes. For the time, it was extremely avant guard, and culminated in a gig to perform at Diane Von Furstenberg’s wedding where the group took LSD and both shocked and beguiled the party by performing for two hours, dressed in Loren and Ziskas hand-painted silks and making sounds that no one had ever heard before. It put them into a kind of cult status..

They were invited to perform at the Museum of Modern Art in Stockholm in 1967, where they once again stunned the audience with their not-heard-or-seen before sound and look. The great Don Cherry joined them at the end of the performance..

Because Daevid and Gilli had visa problems, they couldn’t return to Paris, and the group split up after Stockholm. Gong was re-formed elsewhere with new people. Loren and Ziska returned to Paris and then left for New York. In New York, they met Ira Cohen, poet, mylar photographer, and the creator of the cult classic film The Invasion of Thunderbolt Pagoda. Quoting from Ira Cohen: “Sheldon and Diane Rochlin had just finished their great film on Vali, the witch of Positano, and were working on (their next film) Dope. Loren Standlee and Ziska, who had been in Dope, stepped into the magic mirror and became charter members of the “Universal Mutants”. It was then that I realized we were a special group of dedicated visionaries, electronic multi - media Shamans…”. Two of the tracks on the bonus LP, feature the line-up of Loren, Ziska and Raj Samyana, which is basically The Universal Mutant Repertory Company minus Angus Maclise and his wife Hetty..

The Universal Mutant Repertory Company are most known as a group that included drummer Angus  MacLise, multimedia avant-gardist who was the original drummer of the Velvet Underground. The Company were formed in the late 1960s, and included MacLise, his wife Hetty MacLise (on organ, tanpura, and probably other instruments), Loren Standlee (alto flute), Ziska Baum (Indian dulcimer), and Raja Samyana (guitar). The Universal Mutant Repertory Company was a name devised by filmmaker Ira Cohen, to describe the people appearing in his film Invasion of Thunderbolt Pagoda. All of the musicians did an improvised soundtrack to that film at St. Marks Church in New York. A 39-minute tape of the performance, used as the title track, formed the core of the Angus MacLise retrospective CD collection The Invasion of Thunderbolt Pagoda. On this piece, the group played drone-trance music propelled by MacLises charged hand drumming, given extra psychedelic coating by the employment of four microphones, each run through an echo chamber. Loren Standlee recalled in The Wire magazine that the musicians would play together for as long as eleven hours straight..

An original copy would cost you a small fortune (raising over 4 digits!), but here’s at last an accurate vinyl reissue that comes complete with liner notes plus an amazing poster of one of Loren Standlee’s psychedelic collages plus an extra LP with previously unreleased studio material. Limited to 500 copies only..

For fans of Gong, Angus Maclise, La Monte Young, Tony Conrad, Amm (Cardew, Prevost)..." -Wah Wah.

Price: $29.00
"Wah Wah proudly unearths another lost gem from the past, this time by studio-exploitation German band The Ravers, a.k.a The Tonics. Under the production of Herbert Hildebrandt (ex-member of The Rattles, credited on some internet blogs to be some kind of German Kim Fowley), members of The Rattles/Wonderland (Achim Reichel) and The German Bonds produced a series of studio albums as cash-in operations, among them some very known works like Hell Preachers Inc. or Bokaj Retsiem. Bad, Bad World is one of those amazing releases. Having in mind the hardest beat/psych rock sounds of the era (the LP was originally released in 1969) and the rhythms that move a dancefloor, they produced this superb collection of groovy Hammond/fuzz/wah-wah driven freak rockers. More than one song here should be on any genre DJs bag, the most direct one being What You Can Do For Your Country, but with the whole LP packed with cool songs moving from the Kinks inspired Weve Got Too Much to early Deep Purple Hammond versus lead guitar duels." - Wah Wah.

Title: Samtvogel
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $29.00
"There are records that come from the soul. No matter how primitive may be the recording techniques the musician has access to, the soul gets its way to the heart and mind of the listener. Samtvogel is one of those records. Günter Schickert recorded that amazing piece of human greatness in 1974, using the media he had at the time, putting his brain at work to find the best way of taping everything he had to say. When I was recording Samtvogel in 1974 I had only 2 Taperecorders. I played one track and while listening I added the second one. And so on. Four times. When I mixed all together I borrowed a 3rd taperecorder. And still added the last track to the master. I had a small mixer with 2 stereo and 1 mono but it was possible to pan tracks. No equalization. It all came out of my still living G2000 Dynacord guitar amplifier, of course valve, with no master, even the voice recorded through it. If I made a mistake in 1 track I had to repeat it from the beginning. And if while mixing I was not fast enough in changing the tape I had to start again. So it took me more than 3 months to get ready. Thanks to these three months of work, between June and September of 1974, Samtvogel was privately issued that same year. It would later be issued on the Brain label, with a small change in the artwork -- titles added to the front cover, which werent on the original private pressing. Brain also reissued it on the labels Rock On Brain LP series, this time with a completely different sleeve. The album contained two tracks on side one and just one on side two, and its sound has often been compared to the most explorative works of Syd Barret -- however it must be pointed out that Schickert did not need any mind spreading substances to allow his sounds to float out of his mind & soul, they just came out in the most natural way. It will also appeal to fans of the echoed atmospheric guitar work of other Krautrock innovators such as Ash Ra Temple, Manuel Götsching or A.R. & The Machines, and some may find on the vocal passages certain resemblances to Damo Suzuki on Cans Tago Mago era. The Wah Wah reissue is limited to 500 vinyl LP copies only, housed in a quality sleeve that reproduces that of the original 1974 private pressing and featuring a 4 page insert with liners and photos, sound remastered at Eastside mastering Berlin. Title: Dorembus-Jacq-Arondel-Michalakos

Price: $24.00
“Jay Alansky, a.k.a. Patrick Arondel, was one half of the duet who brought us that amazing Beautiful Losers Nobody Knows The Heaven album in 1974, among many other works - he has been active in the music world for the last four decades producing various albums through the years under many different aliases. But our matter today is a faithful reissue of his earliest works. Season, done with band mates Christophe Jacq, François Dorembus and Michel Michalakakos was originally issued on Arondels fathers own label Monde Melody and sold in small quantities, mostly around their own high school classmates at the Lycée Voltaire, which according to Jays own words in the liner notes to The Beautiful Losers CD reissue on Lion Productions / Martyrs Of Pop, was "known for its post-68 turmoil".
And certainly, the counter-culture elements of the late sixties, early seventies melt in a stunning folk-prog rarity from the French underground that has remained a well kept secret through the years! The average age of the musicians was 16 years old! And the album was recorded in just nine hours using studio time offered by Jays father.
We have included the two songs of the rare Arondel / Dorembus / Jacq / Michalakakos Hello Life / Inside The Sacred Book 7" as bonus to round the reissue!
Reissued under license from Jay Alansky with the cooperation of Christopher Jacq, François Dorembus and Michel Mikalakakos in a 500 copies limited edition that respects the original artwork, comes with remastered sound, bonus tracks and includes an insert with liner notes by Jean-Emmanuel Deluxe.” - Wah Wah.

Title: Synthetik 1
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $32.00
"These were brothers Wolf & Eckhart Seesselberg. They pioneered the modular synth experiments in 1970s Germany just as their peers Beaver & Krause, Tontos Expanding Head Band or The Silver Apples did in the USA. Their performances often took place in art galleries or Modern Art museums, where besides their sounds they also offered seminars to instruct the public into the art of synthesizer sounds.
Wolf Seesselberg became an electronic music enthusiast through his work at the Hamburg Schauspielhaus and under the influence of Swedish composer Karl-Birger Blomdahl and his electronic tone generator. His brother Eckhart devoted all his passion into building his own synthesizer, a process that lasted over ten years!
The good news is that they did record their performances, and a selection of those tapes recorded between 1971 and 1973 formed their 1973 LP "Synthetik 1", which sees its first vinyl reissue ever now on Wah Wah Records. Containing a way out sound, often ignoring the principles of standard rhythm and melody in favour of adventurous experimentation with the endless possibilities of the sythesizer, its one of the most underrated kraut albums that nonetheless deserves to be up there with the early works of Cluster / Kluster or Conrad Schnitzler.
The Wah Wah reissue corrects the original printing by offering it on silver board (like that of the first Silver Apples LP, or our recent reissue of Spacecraft - as it was originally conceived but not released probably due to budget limitations), features reproductions of original postcards to promote Seesselberg performance in kunst galleries and, of course, includes an insert with liner notes plus lots of previously unseen photographies by the duo at work.
Limited to only 500 copies - reserve yours now before its too late!" - Wah Wah.

Format: Double LP & 7"
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $37.00
"After the successful reissues of the two Mormos albums on Wah Wah, we proudly present a fantastic double LP + bonus 7" EP with the works of Jim Cuomos pre-Mormos band Spoils Of War. Jim had already served with instro-rockers The Cool Notes in Texas, along with future Big Brother & The Holding Co. founder and guitarist Sam Houston Andrew III when he moved to the University of Illinois to obtain his Master Degree in Music. It was in Illinois where The Spoils Of War were born in 1968, named after a musical instrument invented by Harry Partch - its name coming from the fact it had actually been built from spent artillery shells. Alongside Jim, other members included Al Ierardi on guitar, Roger Francisco on bass, Frank Garvey on drums and James Stround on "live sound manipulation." Annie Hat would soon join on vocals, and last gigs were played with Charlie Braugham on drums.
The S.O.W. sound was an intelligent mixture of late sixties acid psych with electronic experimentation -in a similar way to what Joe Byrd was producing with The United States Of America or Cork Marcheski would explore with 50 Foot Hose- plus theres some very imaginative songs here that could put the band in the same league Frank Zappa & The Mothers Of Invention were playing. Exciting computer generated sounds mix into a cool psychedelic rock background. It is one of the early pioneering experiments of electronic music and drones on a rock band, made at a time when programming computer sounds was really an adventure, since electronic music was still a burgeoning phenomenon. The box that had been opened by the likes of Karlheinz Stockhausen, Pierre Boulez, Luciano Berio a.o. left a lot of things for Cuomo and his peers to explore - and they were not afraid of doing so!
Back in the day the Spoils Of War had little chances to publish their recordings. Only two small 33RPM 7" EPs were released, showcasing their talent and adventurous love for experimentation
Here are -collected in a gorgeous 2LP set compiled with the great cooperation of Jim Cuomo himself- their studio works, including previously unreleased recordings, some later work by Cuomo and Co. plus a bonus 7" reproduction of the first Spoils Of War original self-produced EP from 1969.
Reissued in a 500 copies limited edition double LP housed in a gatefold gimmick sleeve with inner pop-up, fratures a bonus 7" EP, a Spoils Of War sticker, comes with remastered sound and includes an insert with liner notes courtsey of Jim Cuomo himself and Klemen Breznikar, plus full colour photos." - Wah Wah.

Format: LP

Price: $35.00
“We are proud to present for the first time ever the lost 1976 / 1977 recordings by this legendary band from Barcelona. Suck Electrònic Enciclopèdic were born in 1975, in the last days of Francos dictature, when Spain was awaking again to democracy and everything was possible. Even with the menace of an army too friendly to the old regime a fresh new breeze was spreading the change, and S.E.E. were an important part of its musical underground movement and the ones who brought influences from their kraut cosmische heroes Klaus Schulze or Tangerine Dream to it. The constant line-up changes (over 30 musiccians have been members of S.E.E. at one time or another, with some of them moving to other important projects of the era - like Neuronium, for instance) made it difficult for them to produce a consistent recorded work. Actually they only released one LP and it was already in the 1980s, but the recordings contained on Asfixia al carrer València where done in their early days, when they were at the peak of their creativity in 1976 / 1977. At that time they had a unique sound that no one else shared since they were building their own synthesizers and they were the only Spanish band to feature four keyboardists, and also one of the few to tour with bands such as Embryo, Etron Fou Leloublan, Potemkine or Henry Cow. They were part of the Rock In Opposition (RIO) collective along with Stormy Six, Univers Zero, Samla Mammas Manna, Art Zoyd, Art Bears, and other experimental progressive avant-garde outfits.
The Wah Wah LP is a selection of tracks from more than three hours of material that was recorded but never released. Plans for LPs produced by Kevin Ayers and Robert Wyatt were made, as others to record in France - first in Avignons Free Son Studios under production from Daevid Allen and David Vorhaus with the collaboration of Shakti Yoni, and then in Tolouses Tangara Studio with Jean Pierre Grasset from Verto - but they never materialised.
A phenomenal document of the electronic psychedelic sound that Suck Electronic Enciclopèdic were exploring in their early days, including plenty of photos and memorabilia to transport the listener to their world of science ficcion imagery, psychedelia and progressive experimentation that was to supply a lot of influences to many bands to come in the Barcelona scene.
Previously unreleased, recorded between 1976 and 1977, the Wah Wah issue will come housed in a quality glossy laminated gatefold sleeve printed on silver cardboard, remastered sound by Bob Drake (of Henry Cow fame), and featuring a 20 page booklet with photos and liner notes and a comic strip. Limited edition of only 500 copies.” - Wah Wah.

"One of the latest discoveries of the Spanish record hunters is this nice early seventies release by Tabaco, their only LP. Dubbed from the original master tapes features the smashing titletrack, a fantastic gallactic prog-groove instrumental with dazzlingsound effects, plus some nice progressive ballads and some hard R&Btunes. Title: Awake
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $24.00
“Heres a hard dose of amazing guitar driven heavy psych from New Zealands pride Ticket! Having served in several NZ 1960s bands like The Challenge, The Blues Revival or The Jamestown Union, members Paul Woolright (bass guitar, vocals), Eddie Hansen (lead guitar, vocals), Trevor Tombleson (lead vocals, percussion) and Ricky Ball (drums and percussion) got together as Ticket to perform an explosive electric mixture of bluesy psychedelic sounds under the influence of Hendrix, Cream, Traffic or Sly & The Family Stone, plus adding their very own touch and some funky rhythms in the same vein Atomic Rooster did in the era. Awake was the first of their two LPs, and it collected several songs that had been released as 45s during 1971, plus some extra material recorded specifically for the LP in 1972.
Eddie Hansen would relocate to Australia teaming up with another music legend, Harvey Mann. Ricky Ball became the back-beat of Hello Sailor. Paul Woolright would become part of the Pink Flamingos and Hello Sailor. Trevor Tombleson changed his name to Trevor Richards, went to England and played in the Keith Hartley Band.
Originally released in Down Under in 1972, the Wah Wah reissue will come housed in a quality glossy laminated, three backflaps sleeve reproducing the original artwork, amazingly remastered sound and an insert with photos and liner notes. Limited edition of only 500 copies.” - Wah Wah.

Title: Fraction Sur Le Temps
Format: LP + DVD

Country: Spain
Price: $24.00
“Urban Sax was created in 1973. Gilbert Artman, the mastermind behind Lard Free -who has also participated in dozens of recordings by other artists of the French experimental scene that included Delired Chameleon Family, Clear Light, Komintern, etc.- developed an interest in the relation between space and sound. He organised a first experiment that took place in the town of Menton, in the South of France. Artman strategically placed 18 saxophonists, and their sound reverberated through all the village. As time went by the band increased and currently their performances count with up to 34 saxophonists, 1 bass player, 3 percussionists, 2 dancers and 8 vocalists, with a line up that varies depending on each particular project. You can find saxophonists playing over rooftops, or climbing down buildings or arriving in helicopters. It is a fascinating experience that can be hardly translated to vinyl, but through the years they have recorded some of their music and here we are proud to offer vinyl reissues of those works, including one previously released on vinyl format!
Urban Saxs music is constructed over the concept of ""continuous sound", around which build and develop poly-rhythmic loops, modulated and nested in a partition and a principle of "distant sound" allowing to question the listening audience. It is about linking audio and visual performances. The music is semi repetitive, with evolving pieces of different colors. Entire saxophone family is represented: sopranos, altos, tenors and bass baritones..." (Wikipedia).
"This is some amazing shit right hyah, folks. Imagine something like, say, a concert band playing outtakes from Magmas "Theusz Hamtaahk" trilogy. Youd possibly arrive at this." (...) "Everything starts with this massive (and I mean it...were basically talking about something the size of an orchestra here) wash of sound, like something dropped wholesale out of the trippier parts of Ligetis material in the "2001" soundtrack. Then we get swept into the primal repetition of a simple motif...very Magma-like, save for the obvious difference in forces. As the proceedings go on, it gets more complex; another wash, and then into another primal minimalist cycling with strange, otherworldly drones and choral voices in the background, chuffing percussion...and then a drift off into Ligeti-land again, with chanting vocals following, and huge gusts of wind from the sax players breathing thru their horns as some sort of Saturnian Sun Ra lullabye starts to course through the group. And thats just the first half. This is some potent stuff. Its very much ritual music, as one would expect with it being composed for Urban Saxs ritualistic performances. And its quite trippy, especially for something largely acoustic (although there are four presumably electric guitars in the forces) with little electronic tinkerage to enhance the strangeness." (...) "There are some other recordings in Urban Saxs catalog, but this is perhaps the most amazing, most trippy of them all." Extracts from a review by Lugia from Julian Copes Head Heritage website
Fraction sur le temps was originally released in 1986 on Celluloïd. Urban Saxs debut LP was issued in 1977 on Cézanne / Cobra. It is the soundtrack of Urban Sax first architectural sound shows, but also a splendid work on its own, with a similar sense of musical experimentation and adventure to that of La Monte Young, Phil Niblock, Glenn Branca, Steve Reich, Terry Riley, a.o. Urban Saxs music is constructed over the concept of ""continuous sound", around which build and develop poly-rhythmic loops, modulated and nested in a partition and a principle of "distant sound" allowing to question the listening audience. 16 saxophone players gathered to record the 1st Urban Sax LP, after several years of touring festivals and outdoor venues. They were perhaps reluctant to actually record their music events, hence reducing the spatial effects of musicians playing around and above the audience. I assume Gilbert Artman had to make compromizes to re-create the Urban Sax magic in studio, using studio trickeries and sound effects. For example, the extremely low rumbles on track #1 sound like slowed down, processed saxophone recordings. The music is not only live performance, then, but partly composed in the studio. Vocals starting 14:00 on side one add the pseudo-primitive, typical Urban Sax mood. The music gets uncompromizingly repetitive on side two, where a 5 notes loop on soprano saxophone (starting 3:45) is played endlessly to mesmerizing effects, on a background of sustained low notes by the 8 tenor players. The effect is hypnotic, and these enchanting sounds could go on for ever. This is where Urban Sax gets closer to LaMonte Young, and have been compared to Rhys Chatham or Glen Branca on saxophones.

Title: Vainica Doble
Format: CD
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $19.00
"Probably the rarest and most sought after LP in the Spanish collectors market, the first album by Gloria Van Aerssen & Carmen Santonja is at last reissued on CD as it deserves. On the twelve songs they wrote for their debut album, originally released on ÿpalo in 1971, Vainica Doble blended folk, soft rock, pop and a dose of psychedelia to describe a magical world of their own with splendid Spanish lyrics and great arrangements that bring you echoes of the Beatles, the British Psychedelic Trip or The Incredible String Band, without ever loosing their incredibly personal character that sounds so unique to todays ears as it did to those of 1971. Its fantastic, colourful pop cover was designed by Ivan Zulueta, artist and film director (he was the mastermind behind the cult movies 1, 2, 3... Al escondite inglés! and Arrebato), and is reproduced here in all its glory, housed in a laminated slipcase featuring praise texts by some of their biggest fans such as Andy Votel (Finderskeepers/B-Music), Luis Calvo (Elefant Records), Ibon Errazkin, Ferran Llauradó (Rockdelux) and Ramon Vendrell (El Periódico de Catalunya). Features a lavish full colour 20 page booklet reproducing photos and press clippings from the era, along with extensive liner notes by ÿngel Maeztu (written in Spanish) and printed lyrics. You wont get this through rapidshare! The twelve songs of the original 1971 LP are here augmented with 8 bonus tracks, six of them taken from non-LP Vainica Doble singles (including both sides of their mega rare first 45 from 1970 La Bruja/Un Metro Cuadrado) plus two songs from the obscure single by Tickets, their backing band at the time, who recorded Vainicas penned El Rigor De Las Desdichas, with Someone Like Me, a killer psychedelic fuzz-pop stomper, as its flipside. All their ÿpalo recordings collected in one fantastic edition made, as always, with love and devotion by the Wah Wah team." - Wah Wah

“Mexican rock had a strong renaissance in the eighties, when most bands, majorly coming from the prog scene, turned to Spanish language again. One of the big acts from that era was Jorge Reyes led Chac Mool. Chac Mool counted on its ranks with Carlos Alvarado, who was an accomplished musician on its own and who would record one of the most interesting electronic prog albums of the era, on which Reyes also collaborated. Originally released on mexican private label Momia in 1980.
"Carlos Alvarados Via Lactea (Milky Way) is now reissued on vinyl 35 years later. Eurock was especially interested in electronic Cosmic Music exploring both the inner and outer spaces of sound and consciousness. Of all the great music I had heard from Germany’s Klaus Schulze to Tangerine Dream & Spain’s own Neuronium, the album by Carlos stood apart from the rest.
In a sense, it combines the best of worlds, celestial sonic exploration and deeply emotional spiritual listening. A concept album, the track titles convey the musical journey Carlos undertaking - The Structure of the Universe, Garden of the Divine Presence, Into the Light, Man in Eternity, Meditation Post Atomic & The Lark and the Virgin. He employs a vast array of classic electronic instruments - ARP, Korg, Yamaha, synthesizers, Crumar Orchestrator, Mellotron, Piano, Flute & Tapes. The album also features notable guest musicians such as Jorge Reyes and Arturo Meza.
The music you encounter upon listening is not easy to describe. Simply listen, close your eyes and imagine yourself in a majestic Holy Shrine. The sound of the earth’s heartbeat is slowly pulsating in different rhythms; solar winds from out of the sky are alternately wafting then gusting through the open spaces. In accompaniment, elemental sounds of nature fill the air, comingling with melodies from the cosmic spheres and the warm tones of exotic analogue electronica. All of these elements ultimately alchemize into an immaculate creation, a galactic symphony of Birth, Life, Death & Eternity.
“The Wah Wah reissue, made under license from and with the help of Carlos Alvarado himself, comes with remastered sound and will include one bonus track not on the original LP. Like the original, it will be housed on a flapped envelope style cover, this time in luxury silk screened metallic copper cardboard. Features a colour insert with photos and notes, plus a bonus Momia sticker based on the one given on the original release. Limited edition, only 500 copies pressed!” - Wah Wah.
"Via Lactea is a masterpiece, fusing the technological magic of early electronic tone colors with the spirits of the ancient ones beautifully. Since 1980, Carlos has continued making music as well as running his own label Momia Records. To date the label has released 12 albums by various groups, as well as projects documenting his various other diverse musical incarnations. Carlos’ latest release in 2013, entitled La Musica de los 7 Chakras, offers yet another transcendent musical listening experience." - Archie Patterson, Eurock.

Title: White Room With Disintegrating Walls
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $28.00
"Ton Vlasman recorded this amazing piece of acid Euro folk back in 1970, making it sound like an outer space freaked out Bob Dylan with the help of Frans Schoonen (organ, flute and harmonica) and Leo van Vugt (chincha tumba and tambourine). The seven original compositions are stunning, drug inspired psychedelic pieces of acid folk that mix Dylan with Indian ragas and even add some Pink Floyd overtones, yet from an acoustic rather than electric point of view. And the album contains also a very cool version of The Velvet Undergrounds Pale Blue Eyes. If you ever wondered how Dylan would have sounded covering The V.U., heres a close example! The album, originally released on the small Flame label from Amsterdam, sold poorly back in the seventies -- thus becoming a collectors piece when it was rediscovered in the eighties. Since then it has been gathering new fans that pay small fortunes for a copy, no reissue has been available until now that Wah Wah offers 500 copies in a lavish edition that will probably sell out soon, so grab your copy before its too late! The beautiful cover art and full color poster insert with the lyrics are the work of Leendert Le Duc, and both are here faithfully reproduced as they deserve. The Wah Wah reissue also features an extra insert with a text by reputed Dutch collector Jean Jöbses and a couple of rare unseen period photos courtesy of the Frans Schoonen and Leo van Vugt archives. The album has been carefully remastered by sound wizard Denis Blackham @ Skye Mastering, making these songs sound like never before. Remember, 500 copies only -- dont miss it!" -Wah Wah

Title: Motherfuckers GmbH & Co. Kg
Format: LP
Label: Wah Wah
Country: Spain
Price: $27.00
"The mysteriously named Xhol had already some years of experience on their back when Krautrock made its first impact. Having its roots in the late 60s rock & soul outfit Soul Caravan they eventually renamed themselves Xhol Caravan and released the crucial Electrip album on Hansa, one of the first efforts in bridging psychedelic, jazz and psychedelic styles in a really original way. Shortening their name to Xhol, they signed to the hip Ohr label where they released the live album Hau-Rauk and the mysterious archival Motherfuckers GmbH & Co Kg. Conceived as a varied collage of archive pieces, sound snippets and free extended jams, the album hints at the madness of Faust but retaining that freaky Xhol attitude. From the archetypical Radio, just some dial knob turning with takes us from the Soul Caravan days, to the cosmically tripped-out Orgelsolo and the chirps and flute exotism of Grille, this album shows Xhols more experimental side without forgetting their powerful fusion as hints of jazz, brass rock, soul and other grooves collide on the extended 13-minute Love Potion 25. An enduring testament to the talents of a band which went unrecognized too many years and which was one of the best and more inventive of the first wave of kraut rock bands. Strictly limited to 500 copies - single cover - upgraded with notes and photos courtesy of our friends at Garden Of Delights. Sealed copies w/ info sticker." - Wah Wah
