Artist: D. CHARLES SPEER
Title: After Hours
Format: CD
Label: Sound@One
Country: USA
Price: $12.00
"D. CHARLES SPEER returns with a new album of personalized Americana. As one casual listener once noted to the band after a performance, "You guys play both types of music...country and psych." And its true that the sounds contained on After Hours do act on the mind as much as they tug at the heartstrings. Replete with tales of mental breakdown, infidelity, drunken advice, wartime hucksters, heartbreak, and redemption, the first album by D. Charles with his backing band will surely immediately stand out amongst the shards of gothic Americana that litter our fair sonic landscape." - Sound@One

Title: Some Forgotten Country
Format: LP
Label: Sound@One
Country: USA

"A true solo endeavor, this LP is the debut of D. Charles Speer on long player. Recordings over a span of 4 years have been assembled here into a rumination on loss in its many forms - loss of direction, loved ones, home, mental acuity, money, and emotional stability. Pressed on 180 gram virgin vinyl and limited to 500 copies." - Sound@One.

Artist: D. CHARLES SPEER & THE HELIX
Title: Past Or Beyond/Canaanite Builder
Format: 7
Label: Sound@One
Country: USA
Price: $5.00
"Seeking refuge in songcraft, D. Charles Speer and the Helix spin tales of mental instability and institutional exploitation into a thick, heady, groove laden brew. The professorial attack of the ivories, the sear of the strings, the pounding of drum skins amass into a righteous storm bound to overwhelm those uncoverted. This is an unholy mix of heart ripped vocal, Longhair piano, and guitar work drawing from both Mike Bloomfield and Norman Westberg. Featuring silk screened covers and hand stamped interiors, these retro-radicals propose the final alignment of Khnum with the phoenix." Features members of NNNK and Sunburned Hand Of The Man.

Artist: ENOS SLAUGHTER
Title: On the Shore of Jupiter
Format: CDR
Label: Sound@One
Country: USA
Price: $12.50
" Special spring / early summer edition from the string band trio with the highest slugging percentage around. With hometurf productions from the Hinthouse, On the Shore of Jupiter contains over an hour of speaker smoke and bonus beats. Cover image by Warhol acolyte and Bardist master SS. This is the electrified beanball war youve been waiting for."

Artist: ENOS SLAUGHTER
Title: Saloth Sar
Format: CD
Label: Sound@One
Country: USA
Price: $14.00
"Yes yes, heres new molten sounds from three cats taking cues from a bat wielding spirit. Saloth Sar  contains two massive tracks from Enos Slaughter, all electric and poking a thumb in third eyes everywhere. Electric guitar, bozuk, trashcan moog sounds, and mystery sources combine to create a throbbing piece of alienation that retains a weird undercurrent of lyricism. Space lute meets the human string incinerator. Housed in a beautiful package, this release includes graphics culled from Cambodias S21 prison archives. The imagery hopes to argue a sensible point: the abolition of the military of US. Featuring members of Sunburned, IZITITIZ, and NNCK." - Sound@one.

Artist: IZITITIZ
Title: Lucky Bird
Format: CD
Label: Sound@One
Country: USA
Price: $9.00
"Following their initial tape release on Conduit Creations, The Diaper Band / Moshes Mix Vol. I, and subsequent vinyl offering, with our with jazz, New Yorks IZITITIZ presents Lucky Bird, a work inspired by such personalities and artifacts as Alan Arenius, the roof of ABC No Rio, Animal, a pet pigeon, Nami Yamamotos Freedumb and a set of Hinthouse chimes. The music is envisioned as a soundtrack to the story of a manimal drummers search for a mythic box of Cuban Jade hidden in a paper bag. Along the way he meets a pigeon named Lucky Bird with whom he shares an affinity for dancing around socks to drum solos. While they dance, two ghosts appear: Zashiki-Warashi and Kattorimatto, two dead idiots from the clan of Takechi Samurai. Rounding out the group is a flamingo trainer, desperate for any adventure which will help him escape from the Northern authorities. Without revealing too much of the story, expect harrowing episodes such as: *Cupcake captured by the Northern authorities! *Kattorimatto becomes a zombie in an unusual trance ceremony! *Lucky Bird, in an attempt to save the Jade fromdestruction, eats it! *"The band" is cloned during a search of the ghost town "Clit Stop Junction"!" - S@1. Features Ras Moshe, James Duncan, Carter Thornton, Jesse Wallace and Matt Heyner.

Title: Angelo Mai
Format: CDR
Label: Sound@One
Country: USA
Price: $14.00
"Angelo Mai is the "occupied" former church in Rome where NNCK played during the Summer of 06. Eerily mirroring an identical occurrence from the previous summers Rome gig, the bands van was broken into while they played inside. Although the perpetrators made off with little more than the bands wardrobe, the back-to-back annual thefts in combo left a palpable distaste for the criminal element of the ancient city. This CDR documents the Rome 06 gig in its entirety, now a soundtrack to the evil deeds of Italian bandits. Any $$$ generated by its sale serves to defray the costs of 2 years of van window replacement, and numerous pairs of man-size Italian underwear. Except for Fusetron, this CDR is for sale only on the bands May 2007 Summer tour. Housed in sturdy cardboard jacket with crack n peel art, lmtd to 200." - Sound@One. Small restock.

Title: Sticks And Stones May Break My Bones But Names Will Never Hurt Me
Format: CD
Label: Sound@One
Country: USA
Price: $12.00
"Jewel-cased, metallic-ink-cover reissue of the CD originally released by John Faheys Revenant label. Recorded June 1999 at Willow Sound. Produced by Jerry Yester." - S@1. "Our late founder John Faheys favorite new band, the No-Necks have actually been enjoying underground hero status in upper/lower Manhattan for nearly a ghost-decade. Seven fairly wooly guys and gals create off-the-cuff shaman musics, often stumbling into a groove as irresistible as the swamp-choogle of vintage Creedence. Blues for fans of Beefheart, early Royal Trux, Dock Boggs and Heliocentric Worlds-era Sun Ra, Sticks and Stones presents the fractal sound-image of No Neck as captured in snapshot form by producer Jerry Yester (Tom Waits, Tim Buckley, Lovin Spoonful) at his studio in the Ozarks." - Revenant.

Artist: NO NECK BLUES BAND & EMBRYO
Title: EmbryoNNCK
Format: LP
Label: Sound@One
Country: USA
Price: $18.00
"New York mavericks No Neck Blues Band and Munich-based Krautrock band Embryo explore the indigenous urban music phenomenon on this, their debut collaborative release. The No Neck Blues Band are one of the most enigmatic, mysterious, and defiantly anti-commercial groups to emerge from the New York loft scene during the ⿿90s. The collective was formed in 1992 around a core of multi-instrumentalists who have stubbornly and admirably insisted on individual anonymity. Incorporating elements of folk, drone, psychedelia, free jazz, noise, and just about everything else, NNCK have nevertheless carved out a distinctive sound from complementary and disparate component elements. One of the most original and innovative Krautrock bands, Embryo fused traditional ethnic music with their own jazzy space rock style. Over their 30-year existence, during which Christian Burchard has been the only consistent member, the group has traveled the world, playing with hundreds of different musicians and releasing over twenty records. Melding their wildly diverse forays into experimental, blues, Middle Eastern, Turkish and African music, these two groups have since become brothers in unparalleled improvisatory spirit, and EmbryoNNCK is the fruit of that merge. To quote Christian Burchard, ⿿The NNCK players were flying... Little melodies we never had heard, different moods, rhythmic interplays, and in between the musicmaking it was like we had been together all the time.⿝ This should be one of the most transcendent releases of the year." - Staubgold. Heavy jacket including a full color poster and inserts.

Artist: SALVATORE
Title: Head Spinning Freely (Slowly)
Format: CD
Label: Sound@One
Country: USA
Price: $14.50
"A follow up to the The Zahir LP featuring two pieces, each in the 30 minute range. The first is a cosmic-inflicted lo-hum exercise in string interference, ringing percussion and organically gushed scrapage. The second track is slightly more rigorous, with Eastern-scale approximation amidst clouds of percussive-mist and more. Dominates the obscuro-drone parameters of its own universe with mystifying ease." - FE. Also known as K Salvatore.

Artist: UNDER SATANS SUN
Title: Demo
Format: CDR
Label: Sound@One
Country: USA
Price: $8.00
New metal project of Dave Nuss of NNCK (also featuring George Devoe and Arik Moonhawk Roper of Matta Llama) 8-song demo housed in handsome screened jacket. Edition of 100. "UNDER SATANS SUN is a new female-fronted 6-piece metal band out of New York City -- 2 singers who are sisters plus instrumentalists from backgrounds as diverse as NYC itself. The band name is taken from an early 20th century French existential/religious treatise in which an estranged priest meets with the devil Himself in a battle of wits. The outcome: darkness and the void. Thematically, the band actualizes the harsh intersection of the physical and the metaphysical. Religious queries and sexuality intertwine in reverence of the primeval urges of the human flesh, as well as the drive to transcend all such vulgarities in solitary pursuit of the non-corporeal. Musically, the songs are strongly influenced by folk traditions engaging love and the earth, as well as the harsher aspects of urban wasted life characteristic of the band??s milieu. Each song is based on a strong vocal melody and the mangled interpretation of its dissolution into a sea of unbridled passion. The members of Under Satan??s Sun seek to connect with their audience on a fundamental level by communicating about those things to which we can all relate: love and loss, sex and its abuse, and the despair and delectation of being alone."

Artist: WANDERING ARCHIVE
Title: One
Format: Book
Label: Sound@One
Country: USA
Price: $16.00
"Beautiful soft-bound fiction journal published in 1998. 100+ pages of writing, art, and color photos by the community surrounding NNCK and its Hinthouse environs, including members of the band as well as Graham Lambkin (SHADOW RING), John Godbert, Daniel Carter. Preface by Bryon Coley, and full color cover art by Rob Thomas of Sunburned Hand. Previously thought sold out, a few copies were recently unearthed." - S@1. "Somehow these Wandering Archive folks have managed to condense what reads like one big cut-up between The Ticket That Exploded by William S. Burroughs, The Atrocity Exhibition by J.G. Ballard, some of the more wacked-out Faulkner (Absalom, Absalom or Oxford Pigeon), poetry from the back covers of random free jazz albums, and the manifestos and memoirs of convicted serial killers." -Tony Rettman, Blastitude.
