"This ones a big-time winner, and just in time for those wretchedly cold winter nights. Hobo Sonn is the solo guise of the UKs Ian Murphy. Hes in a bunch of groups like Gryn Brvs and Copper Mahks. This is one thick slab of luscious wax, gritty to the bone and full of spastic, electronic drones. What makes this thing so great, though, is how it seamlessly alternates between harsher landscapes and sickly sweet drones. Add in some mangled tape loops and buckets of hiss and youre getting in the ballpark. Its like a twisted acid flashback for someone whos never dropped acid.
