Artist: DIMLITE Title: My Human Wears Acedia Shreds Format: 10" Label: Now-Again Country: USA Price: $19.00 |
| "If Dimlites Prismic Tops EP served as a stunning reintroduction to one of electronic musics most underrated talents, then My Human Wears Acedia Shreds is a warning to listeners and peers alike: keep up or be left behind. This quartet of songs finds the Swiss producer creating wide-eyed and progressive music that synthesizes free jazz, prog- and Krautrock, and much more. There is no one else quite on his level, no one who inhabits a world so complete and unique. While he built his reputation with a string of pioneering releases on Germanys Sonar Kollectiv label that took hip-hop as their starting point, these days Dimlite is more Soft Machine than drum machine, a kindred spirit of purveyors of avant-pop such as Panda Bear, and the playful prog giants of the past. This quartet of songs contains a richness that makes these his most satisfying compositions yet. Just check Metal Snake Rider, an expansive opus packed into just over three minutes of non-stop invention." -Now-Again |

Artist: V/A Title: Enjoy the Experience: Homemade Records 1958-1992 Format: Double LP Label: Now-Again Country: USA Price: $30.00 |
| "Gatefold double LP with a 20-page booklet of extensive liner notes. Selections from the Sinecure Books publication Enjoy the Experience: psych, funk, folk, jazz, lounge, boogie and straight-up-weirdness from American private press albums. Enjoy the Experience: Homemade Records 1958-1992 is the inaugural offering from Sinecure Books. (The hardcover book version: SI 105BK) is the most comprehensive overview of the American private press movement from the latter half of the 20th Century that could possibly be assembled. Now-Again Records is pleased to distribute a 2LP anthology of psych, funk, folk, jazz, lounge, disco, boogie and just-plain-weirdness culled from the the books selections. Take note: this is not a novelty freak show. Contained in this anthology are examples of some of the most highly regarded rock, soul, jazz, funk and singer/ songwriter albums from the 60s through the early 80s. From the awkward-yet- talented to the genius-yet-bizarre, one thing unites all musicians presented here: they sincerely hoped to become stars, they committed themselves to record, and they left themselves vulnerable to an industry not understanding of nuance, not appreciative of character. While Enjoy The Experience the book details a forceful American cultural experience that stands in juxtaposition to the mainstream even as its creators attempted to infiltrate it, Enjoy the Experience the album shows the breadth of American creativity in a compelling, start-to-finish listen. Not all of it is easy to digest, but this music is essential to the 20th century American experience." Artists: Circuit Rider, Gary Wilson, Jade, Heitkotter, The Invaders, The Muzzy Band, Carol-Leigh & Hank Mindlin, Gary Schneider, Joe E., Medico Doktor Vibes, Ray Harlowe & Gyp Fox, Arcesia, Boa, Michael Farneti, 33 1/3, Silk & Silver, Russ Saul, Dennis The Fox, Bob Harrison and Vinny Roma." -Now-Again. |

Artist: V/A Title: Those Shocking, Shaking Days: Subtitled: Indonesian Hard, Psychedelic, Progressive Rock and Funk: 1970-1978 Format: Triple LP Label: Now-Again Country: USA Price: $30.00 |
| "The untold story of Indonesias various underground 70s musical scenes; extensive liner notes, photographs and ephemera; fully restored and remastered audio; officially licensed. The progressive music scenes in 1970s Indonesia were largely underground as a result of strict censorship imposed by the dictator Suharto. Those who performed music marked by relentless fuzz, over the top, politically charged lyrics, strong rhythms and a cranky low-fidelity were truly rebellious. And the resulting output has been largely -- outside of the confines of this island nation -- unheard or ignored. Indonesia, based in large part on the restrictions imposed by Suharto, is better known for the coffee it exports than the music it creates. This situation hasnt been remedied by the rough-hewn Indonesian bootlegs that dotted the psychedelic landscape over the past five years. Thanks now to the tireless -- and expensive -- research of Canadian hip hop producer and Southeast Asian music specialist Jason Moss Connoy - and the trust that Indonesian rock legend Benny Soebardja placed in Now-Again Records as he traversed his homelands islands securing the rights necessary for us to offer you this anthology -- we feel like we can, in good spirits and conscience, shine the light on some of the most impressive organizations to offer their take on the psychedelic and progressive rock and funk sounds during the early shocking, shaking days of Suhartos regime." Artists: Panbers, The Brims, Rollies, Shark Move, Golden Wing, AKA, IVOs Group, Ariesta Birawa Group, Terenchem, Benny Soebardja and Lizard, Super Kid, Koes Plus, The Gang Of Harry Roesli, Black Brothers, Rasela, Freedom Of Rhapsodia, Rhythm Kings, Duo Kribo. Deluxe 3LP version: packaged in a six-panel triple gatefold jacket with a 16-page full-color booklet." -Now-Again |

Artist: WITCH Title: Introduction Format: LP Label: Now-Again Country: USA Price: $23.00 |
| "Our comprehensive overview of Zambias premier garage-, psych-, prog-, funk-,Afro-rock ensemble Witch, We Intend To Cause Havoc!, is now sold out in its 6LP box set form. So we are making the first four Witch albums available in archival reissue form. As with our box set, the audio is nigh-perfect -- restored and remastered from the original master tapes. The entirety of Witchs first album, restored and remastered from master tapes, and presented as an archival reissue. Witchs musical arc is contained to a five year span and, in retrospect, is a logical one. The bands first two, self-produced albums - released in unison with the birth of the commercial Zambian recording industry -- are exuberant experiments in garage rock, and are as influenced by the Rolling Stones as they are James Brown. Thus Introduction, their first, is the perfect starting point for anyone interested in delving into the Witch band, or Zamrock in general." -Now-Again. |

Artist: WITCH Title: Lazy Bones!! Format: LP Label: Now-Again Country: USA Price: $23.00 |
| "Our comprehensive overview of Zambias premier garage, psych, prog, funk, afro-rock ensemble Witch... The bands third album, Lazy Bones!!, is the bands masterpiece -- a dark, brooding psychedelic opus that makes equal use of wah-wah and fuzz guitars, that relies as heavily on the stomping feel of hard rock as it does the syncopation of funk." - Now-Again. |
|
Artist: WITCH Title: Lukombo Vibes Format: LP Label: Now-Again Country: USA Price: $23.00 |
| "The bands fourth album -- recorded after the band toured with Osibisa -- makes use of traditional Zambian rhythms and folk melodies alongside progressive rock movements. It is the most afro-rock of Witchs oeuvre." - Now-Again. |

Artist: WITCH Title: We Intend To Cause Havoc! Format: 6LP Box Set Label: Now-Again Country: USA Price: $92.00 |
"The complete works of Zambias legendary garage-psych, prog-, funk-, Afro-rock ensemble. 1972-1977. Witchs five albums and a bonus album of 7" tracks never available on LP, restored and remastered from the original tapes. Presented as a 6LP box set: contains sixteen page booklet with never before seen photos and ephemera; extensive liner notes and annotation; an interview with bandleader Jagari Chanda. By the mid 1970s, the Southern African nation known as the Republic of Zambia had fallen on hard times: self-imposed, single party rule; a decline in prices for the countrys largest natural resource, copper; conflict in other countries on Zambias borders. This is the environment in which the Zamrock scene that flourished throughout that decade emerged... fuzz guitars were commonplace, driving rhythms as influenced by James Browns funk as Jimi Hendrixs rock predominated, musical themes were often bleak and bands largely sang in the countrys constitutional language, English. Although Witch is the best known Zamrock ensemble and although they succeeded in releasing five albums in Zamrocks golden years -- they never made an impact on the global scale in, say, the way afro-beat maestro Fela Kuti did. Travel to and within Zambia is expensive, and the markers for the Zamrock scene are now few. Only a small number of the original Zamrock godfathers survived the AIDS epidemic that decimated this country. Witchs musical arc is contained to a five year span: The bands first two, self-produced albums, released in unison with the birth of the commercial Zambian recording industry, are exuberant experiments in garage rock, and are as influenced by the Rolling Stones as they are James Brown; their third albun, Lazy Bones!! is the bands masterpiece, a dark, brooding psychedelic opus that makes equal use of wah-wah and fuzz guitars, that relies as heavily on the stomping feel of hard rock as it does the syncopation of funk; the bands last two albums, recorded after the band toured with Osibisa, make use of traditional Zambian rhythms and folk melodies and are the most afro-rockof Witchs oeuvre." - Now-Again.

Artist: YAGHMAEI, KOUROSH Title: Hajme Khali/Akhm Nakon Format: 7" Label: Now-Again Country: USA Price: $8.50 |
| "Now-Again Records presents exact reproductions of two of the four 7" singles that the Iranian psychedelic rock musician Kourosh Yaghmaei released before the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Taken from Back from the Brink, the only legitimately licensed Kourosh collection, these recordings were thought lost after Islamic fundamentalists took control of Iran. They werent: Kourosh had protected them -- along with key ephemera from the 70s. Here, fans of the 7" vinyl format can purchase Kouroshs last two singles as he originally released them. The first single presented here, Hajme Khali, is a masterful psychedelic dirge that was included on this labels Forge Your Own Chains anthology. Akhm Nakon, the b-side, is perhaps Kouroshs most famous song in the West and is psychedelic funk music at its best." - Now-Again. |

Artist: YAGHMAEI, KOUROSH Title: Saraabe Toe/Dar Enteha Format: 7" Label: Now-Again Country: USA Price: $8.50 |
| "The second single by Iranian psychedelic rock musician Kourosh Yaghmaei presented by Now-Again Records - Saraabe Toe - is Kouroshs rarest. These two beat-heavy Iranian rock songs are two of Kouroshs masterworks." - Now-Again. |
